I said to a couple of pals today if he sees the New Year in as manager it will be a miracle....absolutely abysmal performance again today,probably the worst manager we,ve had down at West Ham since Avram Grant.

Maybe im being over cynical or just plain seeing things but im sure im starting to see players dangling a leg out in the air post tackle as though its one of those nasty compound fracture types.....almost like they are expecting their foot to fall off amongst the arm waving and face contorting.....its quite sickly to watch.

Your Terry Hurlock,Vinny Jones,Norman Hunter types probably wouldnt get a look in today they just wasnt good enough footballers they,d be playing lower league football....i think its better today in terms of pure football if only they could find a way to cut out all the gamesmanship and silliness which lets be honest has been the only downside to importing players from countries with a culture of it.

We used to go stupid with presents but you end up just chucking money at presents with no thought or meaning behind them......the last few years me and the mrs and some close friends have a little thing going where we can only buy each other 1 present worth no more than 10 pound.....its great as you have to really put some thought into it....it can be so much more of a laugh and gifts have so much more meaning when they are not money based,

I dont think theres any rush with Danny he can let this latest caper in the division play out and then make a full on challenge at the end of it without risking too much first......i dont really see why he should take risky fights nobody else does,just sneak a way into position picking easy fights and get your education in the gym he has a natural power and ability that isnt going anywhere he just lacks that final polish which he can get in the gym as he,s not a fighter who lacks that edge.........this is a safety first era of boxing so use it !

Was just listening to Souness talking on Sky about his time in Italy he said part of being " a good player " was whether you could get the opposition booked or sent off....and that was in the 80,s !....gamesmanship these days is certainly about more than just winning a free kick....its about gaining any possible advantage however small,even if its just putting the idea in the mind of the ref.

I know in Holland they dont start competitive leagues until lads are 15 i think it is.....they dont even allow tackling until the same sort of age. Not sure i agree with that mentality but you cant argue with the quality of player they produce so it obviously works.

Lovely to hear good for you. I remember one game when my lad was about 10 or 11 for whatever reason the referee hadnt turned up so i volunteered to do it.......that was probably the last time i ever gave referees abuse even on the telly ?....bollocks to that !

If your cholesterol is only 5.8 and that bp figure is over a few weeks and not just a spike then im not surprised your being treated for it......for many people 150/110 is a medical emergency.

f**k me 110 thats high ?.....i was taking Ramipril for a few years the main thing to sort out is your Cholesterol get that down to a sensible level,get rid of any stress in your life,get a bit of exercise and you should see your bp normalise again.

My boy signed schoolby forms with the Orient,ok its only Orient but it showed he had the talent to become a pro....he just wasnt competitive enough,he enjoyed playing football with his mates and didnt have or want all the dedication that comes with being a sportsman......we have a decent relationship now and when we talk about players wages today he often gives me a wink and says " maybe you was right " ? They crack me up these parents with a great big derby hanging over their trackie bottoms giving out all the dialogue " double pivot "..." between the lines "...." play as a false nine ".

Fair comment i f****d up in that area....certainly nothing to do with being hard or masculine i just didnt want him making the same mistakes i made as a youngster.....but alas,as a weekend father we probably just wasnt close enough for him to accept my advice and i probably pushed him away from the game.....he still plays now but certainly not at the level he could have done but not everyone has that drive to be the best... i get it now its all too late !! The thing is though mate for some people ( real club fans ) its not a little play thing to stroke your ego and live out your fantasies with.....they had his number from day 1 and most was glad to see the back of him....dont get me wrong i like the geezer and it was a brave move he made,if somewhat naive.....and he left the club in a better state than he found it so fair do,s......ultimately it all comes back to the same thing though mate,colourful characters,iffy investors,egos......if you get results on the football pitch people we pretty much go with it at any level of the game but when that

They are football people mate....and im not......so in terms of passion for the club and the direction it takes they are ideal.....theres another 14/15 of me we make no real difference to anything truth be told but there has to be people like us at every club at every level unless your Man City or Chelsea. Whereas the previous chap although brilliant within his own field was trying to live out his own little dream but football isnt Hollywood.....its not even The Only Way is Essex He,s now doing the same with another local club you,ll be familiar with Wilf.

Good post that.....one of the major attractions to any potential investor of a football club is the property itself depending on the location of course....the relationship between club and local community is vital,then if the club can pull in the local council they are laughing you need to get everyone pulling in the same direction towards a club that local folk feel is " their own ".........the distance being created between pro clubs and fans is an open goal for non league clubs to exploit...and its worth its weight in gold in my opinion.

Its never a good sign when 2 out of the 3 people who talked you into something then proceed to throw the towel in and f**k off to other clubs ?
