Would rather not split the fish, but will if someone only wants the pond.
Dont think it will be a problem getting rid of fish like, they are crackers.
Dave.
Any time mate,
He is young and as you know thats bound to happen mate, i noticed Fudge didnt take much encouragement to follow him
The plus is that he calmed down straight away and worked steadily after that and didnt loose the plot completely, he also seems to be coming on very well with his stop command.
Dave.
Cheers Dave...how's your's gettin on ?
Baz
We have taken a small step back Baz, she came on amazing considering she had only worked with a bobery pack until she was 13 month, but now she is loosing a bit of interest in retreiving and only getting half way back then droping the rabbit and starting to hunt again.
So its back to basics this week end. but we will get there in a bit of time.
Zac looks a cracker as well mate, a very nice brace, bet you have your hands full.

Out again yesterday, Me, WB & Pointer, we had my dog Fudge and Pointers GWP Alfie.
Sorry not many pics, 4 Rabbits taken, both dogs worked well, Alfie continued pointing well and both dogs put in a few retreives.
Dave.
I think that lurcher of yours deserves a rest after the season she has had, she always puts in a good shift and when her speed finaly slows with age she will still make a good bushing dog, being half GWP she has an excellent nose.
As for Alfie i am pleased he has had a good ferreting trip and the pics are excellent mate.
Its looking like Monday night for another trip out with the gun mate, hope you and Alfie can make it.
Dave.
I dont think he will need it long mate, he did alot better and was alot steadier than i expected.
After a few times loos the lead and leave the harness on then after a few more shoots loos the harness, he wont relise the difference (in theory)
But i think by next season he will be on the way to becoming a very handy dog
Dave.
Was out doing a bit of training with Pointer and his GWP Alfie, Pointer started him on a 30ft line and he gradualy let him out until he let it trail behind this big lad.
He was steadier than either of us thought and hunted close to us.
Pointer making Alfie remain steady at a distance
I managed to shoot a few eventually and Alfie put in some good retreives.
He also came on Point very well.
All in all a good start for Alfie and i look forward to shooting over him again.
It was ironic as it was 3 years to the day i lost my GWP and here i was with
I agree Kiwi, Everybody knows that there are hidden dangers everywhere but its something you have to expect and accept when you begin to work all dogs, now the dog that sits on the peg may have fewer dangers but that dog possibly wouldnt be the choice for hunting dangerous and rough terrain ie old quarries, thick woodlands and Fells and Crags etc, it depends what you want from a dog, i do hunt such land and prefer a dog that has a bit of fire in its belly.
Dave.
Another day training Fudge in the field, she worked solid again and put in another few good retreives.
Only 4 rabbits taken as my safety catch was playing up (thats my excuise), but another good shift put in by my little Fudge.
