  1. how big where the holes and what was the price,if you dont mind me asking as i have a damaged net here
  2. safety is paramount agree on shooting arcs/areas especially working hedgerows. marking dogs on leash before ferrets are entered
  3. never heard this before and never had any problems
  4. the top and bottom selvedge mesh will be tied with a length of twine. cut this carefully and join your running line to one end. now use the other end to feed your running line through all the meshes,repeat at other end. regards andy

  6. chinning if im longnetting or break the neck holding the rabbit by back legs if im ferreting definitely no chopping seen any amount of bruised carcasses with this method and it looks pathetic. not a quick clean kill IMO.

  8. just wondering if anyone can help me out. been out trying to get permission for decoying for some time now but still getting the same answer, sorry some one already doing this farm. ive joined the NPPC but not much fields to go at up this neck of the woods,so if anybody needs a hand please give me a call or P.M. Fully insured with transport i work a 2on 3off rota on the rigs so im available during weekdays.Im in east durham but can travel reasonable distance. Any help would be appreciated regards andy

  12. definitely need to practice running out and picking up your nets in daylight, find a nice flat grass field to do it. try it with a breeze as well, running out the net across the wind direction and parellel with the wind direction. it will help you get a feel of what could happen if the wind changes during the setting of your net when your'e doing it for real in the dark. to push the rabbits in i use a small baccy tin with dried peas in just keep shaking it as i slowly walk the field,some people just clap their hands. regards andy

TIMES INN CLAY CLUB every sunday morning head down times inn bank from murton,just after the big white house on your left take the right turn into the old pumping station. its on the top of the bankside through the gate be there before 9.30 or gates and entry are of limits £18-00 for 50 clays+carts small friendly club run by local people you probably know regards andy
  14. make sure you get plenty of practice running out and picking up your net if you go the traditional way in the daylight, it will save you a lot of hassle.
  15. what's the difference between the long net and dropnet?? any pics or links??? should be pictures on here do a search on here mate

  17. each pair get one egg between them everyday no problems, been doing it for years.
  18. dropnets are what your after mate. you would have to leave them a couple of days at least just to let the rabbits get used to them, no way you can set your nets after dark?

  20. paid that about 8 year ago, so sounds alright to me mate got mine done at the white lion vets in south hetton
  21. got finished yesterday at 17.00 and watched birds flighting over a drilled barley field and into grass they were feeding on the clover patches

  23. I must say they would look much better in my shed they look well tidy good selection of straight pegs there just as good as fibreglass and free.well done mate
  24. maybe this topic should be pinned or some sort of warning at the top of this section in BOLD to stand out as a warning,seems to be to many horror stories dealing with these crooks
