  1. Brilliant video! Think your camera man from now on!!
  2. Great write up as always. Sounds like fergies foots come good, great news.
  3. Years ago I used to have a 'friend with benefits' whilst going out with another girl (not married). The occasional text message and we'd meet up for a quickie. Ended up marrying her! She was much more fun than my original missus! lol been together 16 years and never been tempted again. I think if you look to cheat on the missus then there's something missing from your relationship (usually the sex!)
  4. Usually worth a look out. Has some lovely Cider on sale every year! Has the usual Terrier, Lurcher and Family dog classes in the afternoon, with racing in the morning. http://www.westofenglandgamefair.co.uk/
  5. Still not had a chance to check the camera and see if I've got any footage. I'll try and get on it tonight and have a look. W's a good Craig, pretty bloody cold but still a decent day out. Certainly beats sitting at home!

  7. That's mainly what I use it for. I put the white LED in the main torch and the red in the smaller one. Search with the red light and run the dog on the white. Been using the IR LED with the 50mm head with the NV and it seems to be the same as the NM 800 which is twice the price. I'm sure with the larger head fitted it would out perform it. Haven't bothered fixing the LightForce this time as I won't be using it again!
  8. You can get Altbergs in a narrow or wide fitting.
  9. Alt bergs are made in Britain and you can go to the factory for fitting repairs etc. Cracking boots straight out the box
  10. What of you pushed the button and your kid dropped dead.... doesn't say who's going to die....
  11. He's doing good. still tries doing a parade lap with a rabbit but will now retrieve them if I get on my knees and do a girly voice! lol Won't let go of the buggers either once there in his chops. Have to start carrying biscuits in my pocket again I think. He's had some real close runs daytime but not caught yet. I'll keep putting stuff in front of him and hopefully he'll get there.
  12. That's a cracking photo of max! Had a real good day out and was great to see both him and the ferrets settle down and start working properly after the long summer. First hedge the ferrets wouldn't go down deep and we're hole hopping a lot and max was stood with his back to the Warren watching the field!! By the second Warren they twigged what was going on and the rabbits started bolting and max was there to pick up a few and snatch a couple from the nets. I've only got a couple of photos of max's arse so no use posting them. I haven't had a chance to check the head cam to see if I got any f
  13. It wasn't that long ago when they came from the same litters. Cockers were the smaller pups in the litter, springers were the larger one's. Go for a springer if your going to do a bit of picking up as well as beating. Not that Cockers can't manage it but springers have the size advantage to help with larger cock birds.
  14. As Mushroom cornered the market on dog training, he's now brought out a new book for training various marine life, We're making a killing on electric collars.for seals... and might be getting a big contract from Seaworld for underwater cattle prods to use on the Orca's. This will be the Temps job.... testing them out on Shamu.....
  15. We have 5-6 short term job opportunities at Thales Underwater systems in Templecombe, Somerset. It's a fixed term employment of 12 months only. Circa £18-20k. It's mainly manual work with very small amount of simple electrical work. No experience required, on the job training will be given. PM me if your interested.
  16. Anyone near Looe that fancys a night out? I'm down on holiday for a week until Saturday 29th. I'm sure we can sort a swap about?
  17. If you like the plr500 then you'll love the saber. Same led but you can focus it and a 50mm head not a 150mm head.
  18. Man, that sounds like an amazing trip! Bit gutted we turned up late to the fishing comp and missed the kayaking. Hopefully next year! I'll have to introduce you in person sometime to Chrismdd, You both have very similar hobbies/interests. Maybe sort something this year during the ferreting season?
  19. I've just bought one, ordered yesterday evening and it was here by the time I got home from work today. My striker is broken (again) so I can't compare the two side by side at the minute but I'm sure this is brighter. It has virtually no spill from the light, all available light from the LED is channelled to the focussed spot. You can adjust the beam size from flood to spot by twisting the head, which was my main issue with the Deben 150 rechargeable. it was a bit too tight to run the dog on closer stuff in my opinion. Focused right down, the Alpha is tighter and brighter but I'll probably o
  20. As has been said, the light is just as important as the camera. Any new HD camcorder with a high fps will film lamping just fine. You need a slightly wider beamed light for the cam to auto focus properly. A decent optical zoom is really handy too.
  21. Looks like there still at the development stage. Will take them awhile to get to mass production.
  22. Think they should last longer than that. They start degrading after 2000 cycles not stop working. Think basically after that time they don't hold as much charge as before. So a 12v 20ah SLA battery after 2000 cycles would still work but would be more like a 7-10ah battery but the LiFePo4 would still hold 20ah of charge.
