    My 9month old pup has stopped retrieving at the beginning I was just giving her 2/3 retrieves every other night or so using different objects,she would bring them back no problem then almost overnight all she does now is run round me with whatever I have thrown so I tried her down an alley again straight back to me, however as soon as she gets into the field she is back to running around me, any one any info or tips?     It's a catch 22 leave them to see if they recover or kill as many as you can you don't know what to do for the best

    Typical only 8weeks until September ,numbers look good all summer then it comes. Il keep going there a few times a week and shoot what I can at least it keeps this years kits in flesh

    Just been for a walk with the rim fire onto 3 fields that I have permission on by request of the farmer to thin the rabbits out a bit before he reseeds it. On climbing over the gate the first field was heaving rabbits of all sizes sat out the first one I put the cross hairs on reviled swollen eyes the dreaded mixi! Then the next 4 I shot were clean the last too were just starting with it , any one else noticed any mixi anywhere?

    Don't know if any of you lads do this , colour code you nets ie 3ft are yellow 3ft 6 orange 4ft blue ect that way your not routing through your net bag looking for a suitable net

    I make mine shaped starting at 10 12 14 16 18 x 12 rows then back down 16 14 12 10 gives me a 4ft net I put a light ring on top and a heavier one on the bottom using 3mm draw cord and 2 1/4 inch meshes they work well for where I hunt but I also have a mix of 3ft and 3ft 6 for hedge bottoms were you need the rabbits pursed up quickly.

    Thanks for your info socks.i took her to the vets he said it was her womb all swollen up so gave her an injection to make it contract and hopefully pass any placenta or kits that were left otherwise it would have needed opening up and spaying, 20 mins later she had passed a kit then another after 2 hours I took her back for him to check he said there was still abit of fluid there so gave her another jab only for her to pass 2 more dead kits and 1 alive so fingers crossed the to remaining ones will be ok

    My Jill's due date is today Sunday 9th. I came home yesterday tea time to find she had a kit hanging out of her dead she had another one but that was dead also, I can feel more kits inside her, she seemed herself so I left her alone. This morning she has had another 1 witch is alive and squicking. How long should I leave her to pass whatever is left inside? Any info would be grateful,cheers nb

    I have a bitch out of arther, she is just coming up 7 months old and so far so good she will sit, I can put her in the down position and make her stay while I walk round a football pitch she won't move until told, retrieves most things just started to jump small obsticals. She is broke to my ferrets. I'm just starting to train distance commands. So all in all I'm pleased with her so far you only get out what you put in a lot of time and abit of patience goes a long way,they won't learn anything sat in a kennel. Il start her ferreting this winter so fingers crossed she will carry on the way she
