  1. As long as you enjoyed yourself and got your ferrets some work, that’s all that counts
  2. We weren’t a million miles from you today ?
  3. After checking the forecast and checking it again things looked good for an outing....... wrong! As we neared our destination it was like pea soup, thick fog and very little visibility, as we drove round to were we were going to start we saw 2 rabbits drop into a handy sett, in no time we had the nets set round and ferrets entered, soon they started to bolt, Nell caught 3 and the nets did the rest, 7 in total, apart from the fog things had started ok. Once we got parked up we headed out into the wilderness, with working closely together I could use Nell for marking and give my mate the heads u

  5. It’s earlie days yet but it’s all he’s spoke about since coming home,
  6. My youngster has been pestering me for a while for a day out with the ferrets, throughout the summer he’s helped with the cleaning out and general up keep, so today we had a spot in mind that we could access handy enough, after a brief chat with the keeper we headed off only to find the farmer hadn’t moved cattle off the intended fields so with that out the window we moved onto a gully with a few likely looking places, only for Nell to mark one of the warrens, a quick 2 and that was that, the fog had dropped in making visibility next to non, my young helper was keen to see more action so we dr

  13. The wind took any enjoyment out of it, it was non stop but we got there in the end
  14. This morning had the perfect ferreting day feel about it, frosty windscreen and noticeably cooler than of late, on our arrival that all soon changed, the wind was horrendous, I had a good start with 6 in the bag then things slowed right down bolting 1s&2s until later on when I had another couple of 6s a few digs thrown in along the way I was up to 25 just after dinner so with one last fight to get my longnets back into the basket I called it a day very windswept, the final total between me and my mate was 37 cheers for now Neil b

  17. No he doesn’t have one, il occasionally give him the first mark of the day, then he’s on his own, ?
  18. Wouldn’t go out without her really
  19. As per usual we were on the fields just as the day was breaking, after instructions from the keeper were he wanted us to tackle first we got kitted out and made our way out,I went to the left of our starting point and my mate went right, along a gulley which was littered with holes. Nell flushes a rabbit out of the reeds and gave chase, unsighted at times, now I’m sure if I had given chase I’d have picked it up, instead it made the safety of a wall, after a few choice words she was soon marking a small warren, so with nets round I dropped a pair of albino sisters in and waited, I didn’t have l
