The most carefree guy I ever met was a New Zealand bloke who was walking around the world,met him in HK when he rocked up looking for work to find his onward travels,I always wondered how his story ended,told wild tales including almost being raped in Morocco. The Camino there’s a 70+ year old on this who has done it 16 times,got to keep going.

  4. I don’t think it’s the done thing in the UK Neil,it’s not tradition nor will you get fish runs like you do here,watch how many hook up.,and this was only in one pool.

Sue Harris was the driving force behind the business,my mate Steve went to their eco-lodge/fishing business they started in Costa Rica I think it was?He knew Sue quite well,the full colour catalogue they did was fantastic,she virtually pioneered micro lure fishing importing the rods from the states,first time I ever heard of microlures. Those eggs aren’t scented,they are a hard rubber?just fish them under a float trotting it through a swim,I did the same with red wool fished under a float and woolen balls And plastic beads.

I was fishing in Thailand years ago when a Japanese bloke turned up to fish for barramundi with a lure box on wheels like a suitcase,do you remember when Harris angling started importing the yo-Zuri and stuff,they had a huge selection of mouthwatering lures. yes,salmon take lures,had quite a few on fake eggs this year.

  10. Yes the pink ugly stik was in the bargain bin for about £15,seen quite a few coloured lure rods in Cabelas,and they have a huge selection of jellies.I caught a few salmon this year on bits of red wool,lures have changed the game.
  11. Was in Walmart earlier and saw some Uglystik light spinning rigs in the bargain bin in the fishing department,in pink for girls as well.
  12. I have a microlure kit,tiny balanced combo I got in Cabelas,reel loaded with braid,and a box full of jellies and plastics,really nice way to fish for jacks and perch.
  13. They are meeting their maker as I type,just eating some salmon fritters,I love seafood,used to stay with a people whose main diet was from the sea,seaweed snacks and everything.
  14. Yes mate easy to cook but fiddly to eat,I like the taste. That’s where I developed a liking for crab,the land of smiles,going to have them with rice.

  18. For any healthcare professional I would say go to the states,I know what they get paid and it isn’t buttons,even here a single nurse will be able to buy a nice house,get a good motor and actually thrive rather than survive.

My lady is a member of a few online nursing groups,keeps in contact with her old mates who have scattered to the winds,her old hospital sent this out this morning,having to plug the nurse deficits with agency PSW’s. They have a recruitment drive constantly trying to attract staff from across the country with a recruitment bonus.
