I first went to China 30+ years ago,the difference between then and now is astonishing,I actually remember a time when a Chinese tourist anywhere in the world was a rarity.

Conversely China,the great wall but they have progressed in their modern day cities far beyond the west.

It's ok mate,we both know the world is filled with people,like your neighbours son who are prepared to go that extra mile for money,I like people like that,he tried and it worked out for him,if he hadn't tried he would never have known,and might always have had that nagging voice in the back of his mind "What if.......".

I put this story up on here a few years ago,i met an Australian bloke while paramotoring in Thailand,he worked in a FIFO mine and used to fossick during his downtime on spoil piles for bits of opal.His lady was Thai,she worked in the silver jewellery business,she used to get the opal polished and set as jewellery pieces,they ended up opening a shop selling it.

He is on permanent nights and has a three week old baby,he has a business in Thailand so is working towards moving there permanent within 5 years is his plan.

My nephews a welder on the railways,one of his mates went to Australia and welds in a FIFO mine,earns way more than my nephew and actually has better quality of life.

It is beef wellington,the chef is Tom Sellers,three different sauces,one was black truffle,I waited till the meal was almost finished and when no one was looking I slurped it down.

My good ladies birthday today,so thought I would treat her,did a bit of shopping then went to a place in the city that's just over a year old,great food and a really chilled out sort of day.

The thing with the Donald is he is a maverick,a wildcard,he writes the rule-book,he doesn't follow it,never say never,he has a lot of off the wall ideas and some will bear fruit,whereas others wont get off the ground.

Watched this sunderland lads YT vid last night,he has left the UK and moved to Norway where his life seems to have improved,but is it possible to work 22 years solid and have nowt?I think its down to the individual.He has a massive downer on the UK and comes across as a woe-is-me type.

Bloke i knew in Sunderland when I was a kid,caught and prosecuted selling fake £10 tenners,couple of years later stamped into brain damage on a night out in the town centre,can't really look after himself,has visiting carers,can't speak properly,didn't get a penny from criminal injuries as he had a criminal record.
