  1. You can upto 1400 lumen torches on ebay for less than £30. I even use one with the dogs when doing small fields if it's just a short trip out.
  2. about 23 tts I think, but there's a fair bit of variation in the litter, mine's the smallest at the minute and the next is 22" and I think the biggest is 26" I have a dog and a bitch that come from the same litter (as each other not the same as yours) and the bitch is 22" very racy and no longer growing but the boy is nearly 26" much heavier and still growing. Looking at yours I would say there isn't much if any growing left. Dog looks good anyway and a nice size for a little rabbiter.
  3. Get some strong chilli sauce and mix it in a a spray bottle with some water and spray the wall down. Buggers will have a shock if they go in for a second dig.
  4. If you get desperate you can use my saluki/grey/whippet for a packet of ciggies. I'm in Cornwall though so probably the wrong end of the country.
  5. www.SunDay.co.uk See where that one leads :whistling:
  6. Cornflour or icing sugar can be used to clot a wound in an emergency but if the vet has done his job theres no need for that now. Glad the dog is OK mate If you were a bit closer I would give you a few bottles of homebrew as I imagine the vet emptied your pocket a bit.
  7. Just make sure you never tell the chemist that anything you are buying is for an animal as if you do they can't legally sell it to you.
  8. Don't think the police should crush cars. They should confiscate them, sell them and use the money to reduce the insurance premiums of those that abide by the law.
  9. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-14052909 Hacked dead soldiers family mobiles. I hope this is enough to put them out of circulation. Problem is they are letting it all come out at once knowing full well that in a week the whole country will be more interested some footballers girlfriend getting her baps out and this will be forgotten like everything else they do.
  10. I have pet insurance so will never get ripped off for more than my £100 excess.
  11. Oh god no! We have less bollocks in the papers and politicians might start thinking about their constituents and not what business will throw the most cash at them. We wouldn't lose much as companies can't legally just withdraw from a country because a major shareholder gets the hump. Legally companies are required to do whatever is in the best interests of all their shareholders so the worst he could do would be to sell his shares which might lower the price for a few days max.
  12. I doubt my 2 bullx could jump 6ft but they jump what I need them to jump. They can jump the gates on the land where I have permission but they aren't even close to 6ft. They can also jump the Cornish hedges but they jump on then off again rather than clearing completely. My saluki x puts my other 2 to shame with his jumping but I have never measured anything he has jumped. Maybe we should guinness to one of the shows next year and see whose dog can jump the highest?
  13. Is it possible that the dog is pulling out its own hair? Is there hair loss in areas the dog can't reach? I assume that mange etc have obviously been discounted. So possibly a stress, allergy or diet issue. Are there any environment changes that bring it on? e.g. more time in kennel etc.
  14. (1)A court which convicts a person of an offence under Part 1 of this Act may order the forfeiture of any dog or hunting article which— (a)was used in the commission of the offence, or (b)was in the possession of the person convicted at the time of his arrest. (2)A court which convicts a person of an offence under Part 1 of this Act may order the forfeiture of any vehicle which was used in the commission of the offence. (3)In subsection (1) “hunting article” means anything designed or adapted for use in connection with— (a)hunting a wild mammal, or (b)hare coursing.
  15. Depends really. If you're a pirate then I don't see the problem. If you're not a pirate then why bother? Either way I don't care as it doesn't hurt me. Pirates used to have a gold earring so that if they bodies were washed up on shore it would be enough to pay for a proper burial.
  16. Very interesting, good man Must say though i think its only of real significance to countries who have won a fair few medals( how they have done the top 10 )... by rights some remote island with 100 people could top the table if 1 man happened to be a gold medal winner. This has reminded me of a similar debate ive been having with a yank friend of mine for years now about who has had the most boxing world champions since the war per population Britain or America.....im convinced its us but dont have either the know how or statistics to prove it Tried to find the stats. Found the

  18. My word....if they are facts, thats a fantastic contribution to this whole debate.......well done sir As close to fact as I could get it. Population figures from here :- http://www.worldatlas.com/aatlas/populations/ctypopls.htm Olympic medal tables from here :- http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/olympics/medals_table/default.stm Just did population / total medals. EDIT: http://www.javarants.com/2008/08/24/2008-olympic-medal-counts-by-population/ Did it with more accurate population figures than I used. According to their table we were 28th in medals per population. We sti

  20. After getting a collar from Strong Stuff I wouldn't even consider buying one elsewhere. They are the dogs danglies!
  21. If you want legal then I think lovefilm is the only option. If you live somewhere without copyright laws then just google the name of the movie and plenty of links.
  22. Just put a piece of wood on the ground in front of the burrow entrance with some prit stick on it.
  23. Well the new government are reversing a few of these issues, we shouldn't need an unelected body to control any of our laws. I agree. Give us a constitution stating the powers and limits of the government and I am all for getting out of Europe. I wonder if UKIP have anything on the issue of constitution. Hope someone does as we are one of the few democracies that doesn't have one. Ironic really considering most countries constitutions are based on the Magna Carta.
  24. Done some maths about the last Olympics. China earned 1 medal per 13,391,900 people USA earned 1 medal per 2,817,954 Russia earned 1 medal per 1,971,212 and the UK beat them all with medals per population with 1 medal for every 1,320,036 people so we actually do really well if you look at the bigger picture.
