  1. Thats because if they were to give out a price, they would have no one calling If you want a custom paint job, give Paddy a call (search for Pad.E) all one off's and at a price that puts the 'firms' to same
  2. I aint never seen a sheep-cat before Reckon Darryl paid it to herd the sheep up to him? Interesting lil video Gary, I'd bet a pound to a penny that if I had to dig one of my lil monsters out, it'd be just my luck to put the spade through the neck Phantom

Very nice Gary Love the demo's of NV and that green gives the footage nice aesthetics SPA
  4. Pleasure Steve, Just one thing though.... While she's shooting straight, don't clean the barrel only do it if your noticing an increase in your grouping at your given zero range. After cleaning it may take 50 or more pellets to relead the barrel. Phantom
  5. Waste of money IMHO Thread some fishing line (or string) down your barrel muzzle back to the breach then tie a little torn tissue or cloth (I used to use baby wipes) and pull it back through repeat until they come out clean Phantom
  6. A pleasure to read Darryl Nice going to you both Sadly if one of my permissions is crap one night, they all are as they are all linked to one another (apart from one which is a couple of hundred yards away from the other three) Take care buddy Phantom
  7. Hey Darryl, I've had the same discussion with Dillan regarding rats and think we've come both to the conclusion that its not so much the IR that they see, but possibly the shadow thats created behind the subject (all light from white to IR to UV creates a shadow) that they notice and if they see it move as you swing the lamp then they may decide its abnormal and give it legs Thats my only thought Phantom
  8. Well Brad, I have to agree with Davy. Unless the rifle has a super accurate regulator on it, your pellets are going to fly everywhere until you hit the sweet spot Once your in the sweet spot, your gun will give out the most consistent shots. Believe it or not a PCP (unregulated) will be a hell of a lot less powerful and consistent when its filled up to the top pressure wise. I would suggest that you fill to 160 bar (well within the sweet spot of the AA range). Then before you start letting off pellets wind the turrets right to the top then count each and every click as you wind
  9. I'd say congratulations but you did the easy fun bit and let the missus do all the hard work :11: Seriously, nice one and tell the lass well done from us all. Thought of a name yet? Phantom
  10. That was a very long winded explanation Ghillies A few points for clarification though. DEFRA no longer exists. The General Licences can be found by following the link at the top of the section. There are no 'Open Licences' Trespassing is NOT a crime, its a civil matter. However if you trespass with a gun it is called "Armed Trespass" and that IS an offence. The Met Office will only be able to tell you about the weather and sod all about guns or hunting or criminality Phantom
  11. Very nice read that Simon Cuz you and Simon talk to your babies as well eh? Thought it was just me :11: Phantom
  12. Hey Mark I've been using optically pure acryllic coloured filters on my cree for a while now, red, green, blue and yellow/orange. They cost me a fiver on ebay and must admit, they are darn right good ATB Phantom
  13. Only if you want it spitting lead out harder than 12ft/lbs If not then no you don't. Phantom
  14. I just love watching the Master at work. Awsome shooting Si, as always Was fantastic to hear from you again buddy, thanks for the call. As I mentioned on the phone, I'm hoping (if all goes well) to be out practicing with the scope cam next week in the cemetery and the surrounding area. And thanks for the heads up regarding tomorrow Right, off to catch up with the rest of the board and then I've got 350+ UBC records to trawl through gathering IP addies Take care and enjoy the night with Mr T pass on my regards. Phantom
  15. Why are you not happy? Thats what you call a result You will NOT get a license for a sub12 air rifle Because they don't exist! If the Police thought you had a rifle over the legal limit, they would have siezed your gun. I doubt they will return. Like I said you got a result Phantom
  16. Long story Bill, Not for open discussion as there are still things ongoing that I can't talk about until I know exactly how it pans out. Hopefully tomorrow I will have all the answers. Phantom
  17. Once my busted fingers and hand are sorted, you know what I will be up to and its all down to your good self Phantom
  18. And you never thought to give it a chunk o lead to shut it up Bill? I am so dissapointed Cuz Phantom
  19. Hey Roger, You been busy lately? seems like ages ago since we heard from you. Aint your neighbour got any brains? all these dead things that keep turning up in his garden :11: Nice shooting as ever buddy. Take care Phantom
  20. Got back into rifle shooting with a model 19. First bunnies taken with it :gunsmilie:So wont be selling even if I never use it again (got lazy with PCP's because my permissions demand virtual silence, especially when planting people). Phantom
  21. Welcome to the forum the both of you Hope you will join in with the conversations and banter. We are pretty much all up for a laugh as well as learning from and teaching each other. There is also a hell of a lot of good people on here who will help you out with the little things as well as the big things in life, not just the shooting. This place produces some amazing lifetime friendships and many of us could call ourselves "part of the family" Phantom
  22. Trust me Si's an expert with these types of shot and both he and Davy will readily agree using the viewfinder or LCD screen of a video camera is very hard work to get right I know that both of them have put in dozens of hours practicing this especially difficult shooting technique on both paper targets and metal knockdown ones before they actively tried for quarry and as you see all that time practicing has paid off Phantom
  23. :secret: Shussshhhh I know of one guy on here who is in the process of doing just what has been requested because people kept on at him to write for the magazines. He's had two other works published and he's also had pictures published on other subjects. Last time I saw his work it stood at 180 pages. That was about 8 or 9 weeks ago. He tells me he may have it completed some time this Summer I proof read what he has written so far and it's pretty much a no-bullsh!t info from the ground up manual. No...... I'm not mentioning his name, because I'll get it in the neck from him But wh
