This is not looking good guy's
Another hour passes without word from our man in the field.
I am now convinced that the bunnies have overpowered him or they have their own guns and have him pinned down unable to escape.
Phantom.
Well guy's its been nearly two hours since the breaking news and no update as yet.
This means that either the bunnies have taken Davy hostage and we will be getting a ransome note from them soon (which we won't bother paying if its over a carrot).
Or Davy is such a crap shot, he aint hit owt yet :11:
I believe the hostage theory myself

Ummmm......
Sounds like a lot of pennies for a lil bag.
I have thought about making one before and using sand to fill it with, It would be ok for shooting from gate posts etc.. where a bipod is of no use, but I like the versatility of height adjustment with the pod.

Refurbed an old ASI Rangemaster a couple of years back
The stock was the hardest part to do, it was heavily varnished and had a crack running from the front of the stock to the trigger.
Stripped back to the wood and lightly stained it then used 3 or 4 coats of linseed oil. Came up superb
I'd love to do another.
I'll enjoy watching you work on this my good man Enjoy

The AA s200 is indeed a fine piece of kit, for £400 you would get a decent 2nd user one as well as pump, and decent scope. I use one myself in .22

I was inspired by your pic roger
So I went out this afternoon specifically to hunt down and pop a pigeon. Well a Woodie to be precise.
I know where the monsters I mentioned in my previous post hang out, so figured I'd try my luck and grab me one
I couldn't get within 60 yards of the buggers .
The most cover I have on my permission at the moment is some very large Mole Hills.
What wound me up the most though, was the fact that as I walk to my paddock permission along the road, there were two of the bloody things, having it off on top of a street lamp right outside the cricket cl
Hi Edgar,
Thats a valid point you make there
Part of studying Marksmanship Skills is the study of ballistics and not just the flight path of the pellet.
Much can come down to the barrel of your gun, the number of lands and groves and the direction and number of turns of the rifling.
A rifle that has say six lands and turns once to the right will make the pellet spin in a clockwork direction and the pellet will climb to the right if the wind is blowing from the right. (I am open to be corrected on that though)
The same pellet with the same spec barrel but the twist being left makes th
Polymers and plastics I can see it working on , but not on a porus stock such as wood surely
Having said that, superglue is water soluable, so if you were out in the rain or it got wet for some other reason such as dropping the gun in a torrent of water (Don't worry Niel buddy I won't mention any names ) the glue would rapidly fail

Cheers guy's
bit out of my league then, wonder if I can get any funding from the government
Its something I would be interested in doing when I'm classed as sane enough; erm sorry, fit enough to work again

Ummmmm.............
Should I or shouldn't I?
Gary, that doesn't say much for you Sir
But I'm not going to bring this thread any further down than that as we all got a bit of a bollocking not too long back after someone else said something along similar lines

I agree with what you say there
However; if like you say, conditions are very good (perfect is best) and marksmaship skills (including judging wind speed, direction and hold over) are up to it then there would not be a problem.
It takes no more than 4ft/lbs (could be less) to kill a bunny with a headshot.
A pellet fired at 10ft/lbs has a retained energy of 7 ft/lbs at 45 yards (according to Chairgun Pro) so transfering that energy into a bunny would result in an instant kill with a headshot.
I have taken 45 and 50 yard headshots and they have been sucessful one shot kills. Again
