  1. Good luck buddy How much is the course, exams etc? Phantom
  2. Nice going Roger Looks to be somewhat smaller than our Woodies with the scale of the rifle (mod70 barrel is 17 1/2 inches). More like the size of a large ferral over here. It seems to be quite a chunky bird around its girth. Do you guy's or should I say CAN you eat them Roger? Woodies in this area are blooming HUGE going on to 20+ inches nose to tail I love the patch around its eye suppose thats to help scare off predetors? Again nice going Phantom
  3. I like this guy Tries something, got it slightly wrong, asks for help to improve , takes what is said on board then goes off and does the right thing instead of getting all upset. Remember Milo, we are all here to encourage and help others get it right as well as learn from others. Well done to you Sir, you will make a great Marksman and Hunter with your attitude Phantom
  4. Hi Adam, I had similar split in the stock of an old ASI Rangemaster that I refurbished. The previous owner had put some PVA glue in it, which would have been okay, if it was to be used as an ornament and not fired. I used a resin similar to Araldite. It was hard work to get it in between the split, but it worked fine. You will have to remove the action etc from the stock and be sure to remove any excess if you decide to go down this route. Good luck Phantom
  5. There is nothing wrong with body shots IF your marksmanship skills are good enough to hit the heart and lungs and you are CONFIDENT doing it. I only take headshots, because I wouldn't like to try and place a heart lung shot. I have done them in the past and they have been good ones (bunnies dont make it more than 7 feet or so) but I personally I am more confident of hitting the brain than I am of the hitting the heart. 6. Bloody ell, nearly deafened my old eyes that did :11: Cheers buddy Bounced back Phantom
  7. Damn right I would (cant be too carefull this day and age. Was admiring a lady not long back, she looked well into her 20's Turns out she was not much older than my daughter at school They grow up way tooooo fast these days. Still I suppose I should really ask the mad kraut Phantom
  8. Nice one Davy ol'e boy So nice to know there are people like you willing to advise, show and help improve anothers shooting skills :notworthy: 10 ft/lbs is more than enough to kill at ranges of up to 50 or even more yards, IF your Marksmanship skills are up to it Head shots (well brain shots technically) are your best bet Nice to see your seeking the info you need to get a cleaner kill and not just bragging Respect to you milo Phantom
  9. If I gets me cash sorted out in time, I'm up for it If I go round the course with my beast, will they count the score, coz I am an AA owner If I cant make it, your gonna have to organise another one for us all at your gaff As for poaching members, don't be daft, just about every owner of an aa is already a member (think I signed up about a year ago, dont think I posted owt though) Phantom
  10. I tink yer a flashy git I also tink dat both dem der knive's are just fooking superbo How much does di mad kraut charge for sharp pointy things? Phantom

  13. He was only booted off day before yesterday Talk about extracting the urine. Phantom
  14. If you can't do that from 30 yards, you deffinately need more time on the range and should certainly not be trying to pull off longer shots standing That attitude to me and most other responsible hunters just sucks Talk about giving the anti's the amunition they want to bring airgun hunting into disrepute Phantom
  15. Yes Tris, Could be worth a try Good luck buddy Phantom
  16. Nice one Gary Looks like you shotit up the tail end as well as one in the noggin Fancy losing a ferret, If ya see it, you'll either have to catch it or give it an injection of lead or you'll have no bunnies for a long time from there. Phantom
  17. Tris, Someone has just put up a thread, about a way of getting newpermission, I think it has its merits. Have a read and see if it will work to your advantage Phantom
  18. Well done on your 1st. You will always remember that I would suggest though that if your quarry is running for 40 yards, you need to spend a lot more time on the range, practicing until you can place 10 shots one after the other into a target the size of a 20 pence coin You are obviously not going for the brain shots which should be your primary target. Once you become more proficiant with your gun and more experianced then you may well go for the heart/lung shots. If you manage to damage these organs the quarry may run for a couple of yards but that would be it All the best
  19. Festa's of course Phantom :clapper: Good job I dont get you two mixed up anymore aint it? That could have caused a serious amount of grief for you both Phantom
  20. Hi again Tris, Graveyard bit quiet, mind you only visited it once this year (will be doing more as the weather warms up though) Not been out much at all recently as my fingers are a bit rough at the moment. Had em all bandaged up for a while now, covered in hard skin (too much wa ing according to one idiot on here!) and all split to heck so squeezing a trigger and even loading a pellet has been hard and very painfull At first I thought it was down to me chewing my nails and stress, but last year I did a couple of re-felts on sheds and used some very heavy duty adhiesive. It was only
