    Thanks John, I'd love to see that, bet it looks awsome I used to have a Blackbird in the garden that has 'white feathers' on its head, we used to call her (didn't have a yellow beak) sh!t head LOL. Lovely bird, that was one of a brood of chicks a few years back that would come up to us and take food out of our hands in the garden. Not been so lucky since then though, they all seem to keep their distance now Phantom

    Feck John, that was quick Nice looking bunny basher there sir The TX is a bunny likker and you will be surprised how easy it is to shoot that compared to other springers. Its well on par with the HW's Look forward to seing your results on paper as well as flesh and bone Phantom

    Both of those guns are easily capable of much longer than the "Normal" ranges. Have a look at Zini's posts, it was his shooting that inspired me to begin to believe in my own capabilities as a Marksman and since then I've not looked back. 99 times out of a hundred, I will begin my shooting session with paper targets out at 35 yards. If I dont put all (or most of) the lead within the 20pence piece I give up and go home for the day. When I'm on form I do this with a .22 (sorry its the same old example, but its the only one I took the time to photograph) 35 yards on my zero.

    What do you shoot Dillon? Springer, PCP or Rammer? PCP's are deffinately the easiest to shoot. I taught myself to shoot using a springer at the traveling fun fares at Old Goole Gala and others. Had a break for over 20 years and then a mouse got me into seriously accurate shooting (a mouse brain is pretty small, no wonder I missed it!) Phantom

    Archie, my trigger finger is getting better but as soon as I stop with the cream, its back to cracking and bleeding The meet weekend was murder on my trigger finger I'd picked up a tube of E45 instead of the cream with the local anesthetic in it. Every shot was painfull as was every pellet loading, I could have cried. I think it was the blood on the trigger that made me win LOL Phantom

    My baby is set at 11ft/lbs with AA Fields. My scope is Zeroed at 35 yards. I like to push the boundaries of my capabilities out to 60 yards for me is not a problem from the pod unless its windy! Using my springer though, is a different kettle of fish entirely Thanks Dillon

    I've only used a rammer once and I loved it The recoil was short and very fast, straight back, not back and up. As for the cocking, that will eventually smooth itself out, or you could try polishing the sears that may help. But the recoil is very different to s apringer, so much faster, making it easier to achieve better accuracy. If you've been using centre fire, you will know what I'm talking about.     YEP out to 45 if you do your bit correctly, but 35 yards is a nominal distance for your average shooter. Marksman such as Si (Zini) can pull off much longer with a good springer such as HW's Phantom

    Hey guy's, Decided last night that I needed some food for Zeus & Aphrodite (my two ferret kits) and the fact that I'd had more words with the soon to be ex-wife and needed to take my frustrations and anger out on some living things legally So I wandered down the cemetery to lie up in wait and kill the first thing that showed itself. Unfortunately the first couple of things to show themselves were not on my hitlist (or more to the point they are not on the GL's) the 1st being a lovely Robin that always seem to come to me when I'm in the cemetery.
