Not just restricted to kits a very good friend was asked if they could use his hob over his jill, he was 10yr old the hob a cracking worker and sired a lot of litters, the jil was taken to the hob and left overnight, next morning there was only half the jill left with the hob Y.I.S Leeview

Surely when a rabbit is bolting at speed or just hopping out of a hole into light any net will appear silhouetted therefore they will make no difference what colour the net is Y.I.S Leeview

Looks left handed but look at the pic closely and you'll see the pic has been flipped, the writing on the tin of accupells is back to front. So to answer the question, no its right handed. Kyle and is the price 52p then Y.I.S Leeview

Your other knots are OK so your not doing this slipping knot the same, your doing well to get to the 3rd row its usually the 2nd row after you have cast onto the ring Are you using a carrick bend knot? where you come up through the mesh, hold it with your thumb, throw a loop and then round the back of the mesh and up through the loop and then closing the knot(thats a standard knot) with a carrick bend when you get up to going through the loop(dont close it) but take the needle across the front and bring the needle up through the mesh you started on now close the knot and you will see it snakin

But then word will get around what a good job you've done clearing the rabbits and more permission will come from it Y.I.S Leeview

By quickset I presume you mean with poles attached? If Im tying the bagging in I first measure the net out by running it out round a post or field gate, pass one end of the net through the gate and holding both ends of the net walk backwards feeding the net as you go, when the net is taut the distance twixt you and the gate is the length of your net with 100% bagging. depending on how far apart your going to set the poles take a 10yds length of drawcord knotted in the middle at 5yds,now measure the still taut 10yds and draw the net back to the 5yds knot and tie it in proceed like this until y

The ban was brought about by a signed petition(183,000) and gave the politicians very little room to manoeuvre Y.I.S Leeview

Has anyone got any photos on correctly set stop nets
Leeview replied to seany's topic in Ferrets & Ferreting
alternatively you could put a 12 yarder each side of the hedge (90degrees) and push an old feed bag into the middle of the hedge 3or4yds before the nets, spooking the rabbits into leaving the cover of the hedge and into the nets Y.I.S Leeview -

bit of a bold statement have you ever seen one yourself or just reliant on what you have heard from agouti? I also have heard/seen problems with some dropping but that only made myself work out how to perfect the action into 100% every time as for catching birds only had a problem with 3 woodies in the last 4seasons, likewise they have never been touched and would take some figuring out how to dismantle them in darkness ie draw line and tension lines +transport cant just put it into a poachers pocket overall I reckon 100yds set up would be in the region of 160lbs +net Y.I.S Leeview

I'm here to make sure things go in the right place. If they don't, I'll move them. Simple. Why make work for yourself? move a topic once per member and delete any further posts in the wrong section from the same member they'll soon catch on Y.I.S Leeview

Starting to sound like stubby already Good Luck Malthemod and now you've got the roll what about a subsection where members can post/object about other members 3 different members complain about the same member leads to lets say a 3 week ban being unable to post from their IP address Y.I.S Leeview

Whats peoples thoughts on unmated jills.
Leeview replied to ferretguy12345's topic in Ferrets & Ferreting
A competent vet would not believe you, fact. Why would nt a vet believe me? The only time you are wasting is your jills time. My ferrets including an 11th season jill are fit, healthy and working Your opinion is hearsay and means nothing compared to documented fact. My opinion is not hearsay its experience that proves documented facts are flawed Unless you can give hard evidence other than 'in my experience' regarding oestrogen toxicity, then you are waffling. My patience with you on this matter is spent. Well get your syndicate to put up the money and I'll have them tested should be ab -

http://www.angoraferret.co.uk/about/default.html Not waffling at all, Call a competent vet, and then what tell them all my jills have been left in season and not one of them has died or been ill Dont want to be wasting my time or the vets Now this link is interesting to say the least HYPOCRISY at its best saying how members should look after their ferrets healthwise and your breeding for big bucks and deciding on what is bred from to what I'll leave members to make their own minds up about candy before I really blow it A good reason why we need a proper mod in this section to stop pos -
Yes that will do you or wait until they're doing 2 for 1 take your time its not a race if it takes all morning it wont be waisted you'll be learning all the time Y.I.S Leeview

Col get yourself some garden twine cheap as chips no good for nets but great to practise on until you get the hang of the knots Y.I.S Leeview

Yes, the results would conclusively show that a jill left in season has ill effects on her health. With any illness, disease or condition, certain abnormalites and/or clinical signs are presented, these are then confirmed via the relevant methods, and the appropriate treatment given at that time. The extent of test/examination findings of a jill left in season would depend on how long she has been left in that state. The blood sample analysis of a jill left in season would highlight corresponding abnormal cell counts, thus confirming clinical symptoms and the condition presented. The cell coun -

When there was a lot of rabbits in the dales the farmers reckoned 3 rabbits could eat as much grass as 1 sheep in a day and they could sell the sheep at market but not the rabbits Y.I.S Leeview
-
no offence but if I was a farmer and had been for years, it would really get on my tits if a lad arrived at my door telling me that my stock was underweight! But if it's worked for you then nice one! Your obviously not a farmer then made him think and I followed up with "I dont know whos clearing your rabbits but they're not doing a right good job are they" turned out nobody had permission but I had before I left Just outside Leyburn North Yorks Y.I.S Leeview

OK Kay some fair points, as for the ferrets being in a shaded area in the garden they will still be able to tell daylight from darkness even in the shade Y.I.S Leeview -
Tell him his stock looks underweight and could it be because all the rabbits are eating their grass I kid you not its worked for me up in the dales Y.I.S Leeview
