I didn't say 'no' economic significance, I said 'bugger all', ie very little.
That's compared with many other past-times/hobbies/addictions.....
What I'm saying is, we've got very little economic power, so the buggers in Government will do as they like.
It might be disappointing, but it's reality. Money talks with politicians.
Lets put it like this: a while back, I bought a decent PCP air rifle with a few bells and whistles. It cost £450. It's all I need to go hunting (though half decent eyesight might be useful too).
I could spend 3 times that much on an angling setup.
