  1. So how much does mDNA analysis cost then?
  2. What Halfinch said. In addition, you can get one day or one week licenses too, but they are relatively expensive for the amount of fishing you get. You still need one for commercials, and some do check.....
  3. Don't work for fookin Virgin Media do you? 'Hello, my name is Ralph......'
  4. It's even better with the telly off.
  5. TOMO, I think there's only 300 generations between us and a time when all of northern Europe effectively spoke the same language.
  6. If you could hack into his computer, you could have great fun giving him different accents. 'A Brief History of Time' in broad Geordie??
  7. As long as you haven't got a voice like Stephen Hawking....
  8. 'Planten en Blomen' Remember reading about the difference between 'Low' and 'High' German when I did German at school. Very interesting it was. Still is
  9. Totally agree Al. You get a rather more co-operative attitude from the French, Germans etc if you at least attempt to talk to them in their own language in their own country. Mind, it does help if you've mastered English first
  10. what the f****n twatting cunting hell is profane F**k knows...
  11. I'm fluent in Profane
  12. Muts nuts... Pine Pool at Kingsbury, good local reputation. Dingle Fishery near Coleshill, smashing place to fish, this. Specimen Pool, The Riddings. Excellent bacon butties delivered to your peg. Off to Sheepy Lake tomorrow, reputedly an 'easy' venue but they only go up to high teens, allegedly. So that'll be a blank then....
  13. If you want to keep it really simple, then why bother breeding at all? In about a month this forum will be inundated with offers of kits, and there's bound to be a few round your way.
  14. There's usually plenty of kita available on here, no need to breed. Save money, people are giving them away by September

    i will resign

unloaded a lorry and checked all the goods off as all there and let the driver go with £600 worth of gear still on board! oops! Years ago got a written warning for similar incompetence.....left, got some qualifications, got a far better job in the end.... That was at the start of a recession, too....
  16. I'm just voicing an opinion. Mind, I can't talk too loudly. I use Masterline JW rods a lot, and some people wouldn't touch them. But they work, and I can afford them. To get back to moley's original question, if TF gear does it for you, and the ptice is right then fine, but there's plenty of options at the sort of price most TF gear goes at. Best option is to get to a decent tackle shop and handle some rods. Just remember that you usually get what you pay for: my cheap Masterline JW rods handle OK and are good workaday rods that do the job, but the more expensive Fox and Normark ro
  17. Did better than the pike anglers on our river....3 hours, not a nudge
  18. Who pays RRP? I don't. Not unless I'm desperate, like last year on a fishing holiday when I needed a wand, and ended up paying full price from a local tackle shop...... TF gear, like Ron Thompson, seems to be permanently discounted. £1800? Look on the angling forums. Big discussions as to which £2000 pole to get.
  19. Ron Thompson under a different name? Come on, folks, someone has to pay for Matt's orthodontal bill...
  20. Yes it does. But it may be the sort of 'strong attachment' I have to my favourite fishing rod.
  21. Seen them a couple of times. Brilliant musicians both. John Tams operates in a similar area.
