had an hour out last night working on recall which has slipped since he started catching more regulaly,it was dark but still very still.had a marked improvement on the recall and came back with these,2 of the 4 he managed to retrieve but the outher 2 were left for me to fetch still an improvement though and very pleased with the way he is coming on never seen a rabbits tail like this though with a whits stripe thrugh it.

what a load of bollocks,glad that the season is here so i will have something outher than like this to pass the time.my opinion of this site is rapidley going down hill,i only hope it improves as the winter draws in.

i get out for a couple of hours every night,dont give the pup to much though 3 or 4 slips a night as he is only just 11 months.on average he will take 2 or 3 a night and is loving it wanting more all the time,when would you say i should start upping his work rate atb dawnraider -

just bought a new lamp,a nightsearcher 750,and it has changed my pups way of running.my old lamp i thought was holding him back not being powerful enough we were losing rabbits mid run,and for fear of ruining him for good i forked out for a new bit of kit.even though it was very still last night with a full moon and no cloud cover we set out,after a half hour and only seeing a couple close in to the hedge i thought of turning back but we were there now and i am ever the optimist.eventually the cloud did roll in with a soft shower and after a couple of close runs with the pup just missing out w

whilst out last night i was confronted by four blokes who thought i was poaching pheasants,one of them was the estate warden who ended up giving me permission for the entire estate for ferrets and lurcher so i went from almost getting a kicking to adding about 500 acres to my list.

after 5 weeks of feeding my ferret kits fresh rabbit nearly every day i have only seen 2,both of which came from the edge of the corn fields,all the rabbits from the orchards are fine,but like it has already been said come the end of september more will appear.

Hello Mate I will be in touch when we get some rain to soften the ground,I haven't forgotten about those dvds.Speak Soon Inan. no worries tony,not much going on down that big bit,but that outher place i showed you is looking good at night,my old man took me down there and showed me all the blokes land the outher side of the road as well and its a nice spread,atb duncan.also some good ferreting turning up with it hope pat can make the trip next time round.

nice pics pat and a couple of hours well spent,we have just started picking our fruit with me driving one of the tractors which has given me the ideal opportunity to make note of all the new warrens round the farm ,by the look of it i am going to be busy,one of the older bigger warrens has now been utilized by a family of badgers.

i got a beddy whippetxsaluki grey and i hold high hopes for him,he is 8 months and 20"tts ,a good nose,and a good turn of pace,cant wait to see what the future holds,brilliant temperament with outher dogs and the kids in all i dont think you will go far wrong

a good friend of mine has a photograph of one of his distant relatives standing outside of his old bow top wagon and a lurcher by his side,a lurcher whos blood still runs today in his and his familys dogs,i believe the photo is dated 1912.this man and his family are unknown to the running dog world but there dogs wouldnt look out of place anywhere ,will see if i can get the pic on for you all to share
