  1. sod the camping right opposite the gate is the farm where i work and the huts where the fruit pickers stay and my old mans house plenty of ferreting there as well but all orchards so not really any good for the dogs lamping.
  2. good old fashiond knock on the door,it does help if he knows your old man though lol went there again today on my jack old long ears showed himself.........more than once still not cut all of it though might give it a week or two.
  3. nice one mate,feck me if i went out tonight i would either get fried by lightening or washed away lol its feckin hammering it down how old is your pup mate,mine retrieved his first the outher day it gives you a real sense of achievement.

  5. thanks alot for your help tote,does this mean my bitch is litter sister to harps hostess,if so then it is interesting to see in her pedigree photo she has her leg in plaster as my bitch has three identical scars running in a line down her leg all about the size of a 5p.is she not listed because she was not registerd,and what do you think of her breeding.heres a pic of my bitch.

  10. looking good fk,as for not being special there yours no one elses you feed em keep em warm n safe and by the looks they dont bite you there special alright heres a couple of mine.
  11. my old man once told me about an evil old who would snap of the teeth of a ferret with a pair of pliers to stop it killing underground,i suppose there is a time and place for muzzles but there not for me , i dont mind digging now and then lol
  12. looking good mate,plenty of room for ferrets and cleaning out,dry and safe cant go wrong.

  14. just the good old greyhound for me,cant wait for next season to get the pup going.
  15. had a bit of a look ,3 hours worth and still got more to cover,very promising still alot of corn to be cut though ,pup had a good run and made his first retrieve,aint it great when your hard work starts to pay of
  16. 3 hours and i didnt even cover half of it,still a fair bit of cover as they have only cut the headlands ready for the big push tomorrow but looks very promising,going back tomorrow evening to have a look at the woodland the pup had a good evening and noted 12 very good looking warrens,he is starting to mark but not perfect YET.

  18. just put these up in the running dog section ,permission for some lamping,but with it comes the ferreting permission as well,the woods in the back ground are included havent had a decent mooch round yet going over this evening,if its anygood anyone in the kent area is welcome to join me as its a big lump of land 375 acres all told

  20. had a quick look today whilst at work and am going back this evening with a dog or two,everything seems right 375 acres being cut now ,fingers crossed
  21. the greyhound bitch i took on earlier in the year has of her own accord taken to running out of the beam,starting from the slip she runs in an arc and appears out of the darkness up the arse of her prey,works for her and she is quite successfull she also has started to cut them off from the hedges or cover and turning them back into open ground,as most good things do it has happend purely by chance.

  23. i put a few bits of gravel in there today and one of the young hobs spent ages fishing them out and playing with them putting his face right under,i think thats made my mind up on which of the boys to keep
  24. its only a temporary set up ,until they go to there new homes,then the remaining three will be moved into ferret heaven,construction started the weekend just gone and will probably take another day or two to finish,then i can get some better pics up.
