  2. we have got a real mixed lot this year, the jill is sandy and the hob a poly, the three silver kits are all quite pacthy and a couple of the poly kits have got white socks and bibs with white blobs on there bellys, they are so cute i would love to keep them all this year but id be over run. gonna just hold back a couple for my own stock. il be holding onto the silver and black kit as the missis has fallen head over hills in love with it. i kept my one with the stripe and called him flash ,he was a steady worker nothing special but a great caracture
  3. my very first litter i ever had was mixed just like yours,one of the polecats had a perfect stripe from the tip of his nose to almost the back of his head and being a very dark hobb it really stood out,you never know what nature is going to throw up

  5. quick question,when should i attempt to investigate if they are in good health,my old jill which i had some years ago would let me handle her kits from day 1 and as she was the only ferret i ever bred from i have no experience with outhers.the jill i have now is calm enough and my old friend says she should be ok but i dont want to take any unecessary chances advice appreciated.

  10. i once read that the good old rat is one of the best sources of vitamins etc that your ferret can get,cant recall the book i lent it to my sister will get it back as it was not just informative but quite an amusing read ,the life n times of a wiley old ferreter who once fed a spider monkey given by a friend who worked at a local zoo only to be reported to the police by a neighbour for putting a baby in with his ferrets. :sick:

  12. going to keep the jill and onekit for myself the rest are going for a minimal ammount not for personal gain i might add just a few treats and bits n bobs for the remaining two.also on the lookout for some purse nets as mine are looking a bit worse for ware and the old man that used to make mine passed away some time ago if anyone can help it would be much appreciated.
  13. got a phone call today an old friend of mine has decided to retire from the hunting game and asked if i would take on his jill and her 11 two day old kits ,just when i was thinking of getting a couple myself,happily they are settled in fine ,there court is going up this weekend so i am now on the lookout for good homes .

  15. i been lamping in the day,feckin awsome 20 odd rabbits most of which got retrieved aswell,werent until i got home i realized i hadnt plugged my battery in must have been just lucky i suppose ----keep takin the pills mate
  16. just bought my boy a ridgelight virminator its his first lamp as he is only a begginer,do you think it is ok or crap,i personally thought it was a bit tacky and i had to re solder the wiring in the plug on the lamp but outher than that it seems ok.bought myself a night searcher 750 at the same time and thats pretty damn good
  17. just googled the picardy shepherd and it is in fact a french breed of herding dog,looks nothing like a german shepherd,have a look on google images.
