  1. As above, Honda 350 TRX Fourtrax 1992 for sale, ( one of the american made ones, built to last )not in showroom condtion, a few marks here and there, the odd repaired crack in the plastic, thats the negatives, on the positive side, it starts every time, got a superb engine in it, has four rear wheel size wheels on it ( not the narrow ones you normally get on the front)so if you get stuck you shouldn't have been there in the first place !!,good tyres, and it pulls like a train. Not road taxed or road legal or anything like that. Thats about it really, it's not pinched, it's straight and has
  2. I have a framed picture on my wall at home of the loch taken from the car from the Dalmally end, on the way back to the cabins, The sky was as angry as I had ever seen it, the heavens were about to open but there was good enough light to take a picture, it was "brooding", and then one hell of a storm broke out, by then I was back at HQ, looking from the inside out. We were trawling with Rapala's, and toby type lures, didn't catch tons, but caught enough, and a few big buggers, see that castle mate, but that pic is spot on. I was a single man then with a few quid in the bank, . Godd fishing i
  3. Been there for a week myself many years ago, stayed in some cabins on the shore of the loch, was the place called Portsonachan house or similar ??, long while ago now. Over to the tight lines pub for a meal and a "dram" or two , that top shelf nearly killed me, first place I ever saw whisky called "pigs nose" and "sheep dip". Lovely area, superb locals, and bloody big fish!!, apparently some yobs from Glasgow had been up a week or so before we went up and had slashed the nets in the fishfarm that is / was there, plenty of fish about then. Anyone who goes up there wont be dissapointed, I cert
  4. It was a good show, great venue, good crowd, some nice dogs, well organised, no tannoy needed as Andy was in good voice . Best of luck for the future lads, it's a show worth going to and keeping on with, the best of luck for the future lads. ATB Bootsha
  5. Countrymans weekly used to be a good read, a new publisher took over and it went down hill from there in my opinion. You have a well known and respected lurcher judge in Mal Thomas, I have judged his dogs in a show once, He got best in show to finish, so he knows what is needed and expected from both sides of the fence. I hope you get a good day and turnout for your show, All the best. B
  6. Put a few more details of classes and that up here Suda, not everyone gets the countrymans weekly, some herE like a proper doggin mag like edrd not a beano equivelant. Hope your shows goes well, how come it's on a Thursday ?? B
  7. The same could be said of Plumber terriers I suppose, how many pups did he breed ?? I suppose they are called Hancock lurchers because he bred them, quite a lot perhaps, but breed them he did, for a long time.
  8. I've never met the man but I can tell you now, if I was looking for a pup bred to work out of working stuff, i'd be on my toes to his place as we speak. Theres some that do and some that dont, he strikes me as one that does, and has done quite a lot for a fair time. I hope you find good working homes for them fella, more well bred stuff is what the lurcher world needs. ATB B
  9. Next time you go, mix some slug pellets and cat food up 50/50, drop some under the table as "pussy" comes around, next time you go, hey presto, no f@ckin feline about your toes, voila !! jobs a good un !
  10. Welcome to the sit foxbasher. Nice tos ee some of us are using .222 for foxes and not the other cannons that some use. Not a million miles away from you either. Enjoy the site fella. B
  11. Had one myself years ago, border cross, Red merle bitch, a hunting machine, by a gog called rufus out of a bitch called nell. Obedient, very intelligent, very fast, plenty of stamina but liked company on the red ones, otherwise as good as you'd want. This is from actually owning a Hancock dog not on hearsay. Hope its of some help. B

    Lights my lemon Ian !
  14. If it spreads a bit more mate, there'll be a visible line on the chest area. above the sort of elbow hight up will be ok, and below will lose hair. Seen it on my dog, but it is sortable so dont panic. Never heard of udder cream tho, Camrosa cream has some info on it in the box, perhaps thats how the udder cream kills the mites, and the camrosa, imobilises them and suffocates the blighters ?? B
  15. My lurcher had it, its the dermodetic mange mite, exact the samespot on both back legs, if you ignore it, could spread to bottom half of chest area etc. Duramitex I used, sponged it on ( i had the old mix it up type, i cant get it anymore) sorted. Hope this helps B
  16. Any classes for snakes Al ?? Sorry, couldn't resist that one.
  17. Apart from an outstanding sort of bitch matey, she's in superb fettle with you. Hope you find out what your looking for. ATB B
  18. .243 is a good round, but in my humble opinion, not heavy enough for Reds, especially in the Autumn when they are all pumped up. Yes I know a spinal shot will drop it, but if that shot doesn't present itself what then. A .243 for smaller stuff and a .308 for "heavy game", . I use a .222 for foxes etc ( ammo much cheaper) and a .308 for Deer, a bit heavy on smaller species I grant you like roe etc, but a big fallow buck or a red stag is a different proposition al together. Best of luck
  19. chick crumbs mate, then to growers then to layers pellets, as they get older obviously, assuming your keeping fowl for eggs etc, oh, any kitchen peelings from kitchen etc and any greens
  20. hiya mate. i think you may be in luck. I have just bought a dvd off a certain auction site and i think that it could be what you are looking for. I watched it this morning and for the price i don't think that you can go wrong , although it is a copy, Here's the link John. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PRACTICAL-HUNTING-RIFLE-3-FILMS-1-DVD-/260609798134? cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_CDsDVDs_DVDs_DVDs_GL&hash=item3cad8deff6 Many Thanks John
  21. A few years back I had a copy of the above, volumes 1 & 2. I loaned them to someone and can't for the life of me remember who ( sounds familiar dunnit ??) Is it still about, available, where would I source one? Perhaps you cant get them anymore. Any info would be great. Thanks in advance. ATB B
  22. Hi Chris The studs I used to use are the screw in type with a quick release opening on them. Just be carefull when you screw them into the forend that the tip of the thread doesnt go to far through and touch the barrel, or is close enough to touch it when its rotating on firing, especially if you have a fully floating barrel. You may have to trim the end of the screw part. Hope this helps mate. ATB B
