  1. Try BASC or similar mate, I wish I had when I did mine years ago, you can be the best shot in the world, identify your species at a glance, go on the simulated stalk without so much as snapping a twig, but if you fail your theory exam you just as well have stopped at home, assuming the course is the same format as before. Best of luck to you, as the old saying goes" preperation, preperation, preperation", and then some ATB B
  2. That pups got some timber under her, a real nice pup, best of luck in finding her a good working home, doubt you'll have to wait long. ATB B
  3. If you're ever heading as far to the south west as Pembrokeshire, chuck me a PM and I'll see if we can sort something out. Be it fishing, a bit of dog work or otherwise. will do Malt,i actually went camping down there once, absolutely loved it despite the fact that my cam belt went on my 4x4 Daihatsu but at least everyone else got sent home and i got to enjoy everything down there while i had my motor fixed,Wales i love it,i could get lost or break down in Wales and i would still love it,that's why i think i have some welsh blood dominant in me, Higgins Higgins, you can take
  4. Dont take a blind bit of notice of negative posts, they are normally done by negative people. If you dont know the answer to a problem, ask the question. Like the old saying goes mate, better to feel a fool once by asking the question and getting the answer than not asking and being a fool for a lot longer, hence some of the negative posts, pity some of them didn't ask a few more questions eh ?? whaddya reckon. Ask away my friend, thats what it's all about. ATB B

  6. Does anyone on here run a focus diesel estate 1800 td td cl , thinking of getting one as meant to be reliable, good on juice and not bad on insurance, and a reliable workhorse. Just interested to hear what others may think of them, good or bad, if you dont mind. Thanks in advance. B
  7. Dont know about constructive dismissal, sounds more like a case of victimisation and or harrasment to me if one individual is lined up. Most unions would have a field day with an employer who did this to someone. I think the acas or citizens advice would be a good place to start (assuming theres no union at the workplace JD)
  8. It's good to have these other brands available for our use, even better when they work well. I think i shall be trying the prazivet plus tabs myself this time. ATB B
  9. Thanks Topper, like i said I have heard people speaking highly of this brand, but it's nice to hear it from our own sort, thanks for your reply.
  10. I have used nothing butt Drontal plus in the past, but there is a product on the market which is generic to Drontal Plus, Prazivet plus, Has anyone on here tried it and what are their opinions ??, I must admit that the only feedback that I have read about on this product is positive...as yet... It has the same dosage as Drontal plus as well, 1 tab per 10 kg bodyweight. Apparently there is a 10 year patent on Drontal and or any other similar product, and that time has passed. Would you have any feedback / knowledge on this product Skycat ?
  11. Them black 'uns look like peas in a pod, a lovely sight, you could use that pic for a christmas card I reckon, i'd love to have something like that through the post to put above the fire. Welcome to the site mate. Nice to see working terriers are still being used for proper work. B
  12. It's a pity more people didn't give as much consideration to getting a dog before they actually do mate as you have done. 9 to 5 isnt that bad, an early walk before work, a walk, hunt, lamp after you come home every day will be a lot more than a lot get. I dont know about the liberty of your whole garden if your not there as once older and stronger (unless you have a very high fence around your garden) if he gets bored, or a moggie passes through, he'll be up and over that fence tut sweet. A dry kennel out of wind and rain and draughts, an 8x4 pannelled run or bigger if you can afford it w
  13. To jump a solid obstacle such as a wall, door or plywood is a completely different kettle of fish to jumping a fence, as you have proven by your pup jumping solid obstacles already with ease. You can get it to jump a 16 foot solid object, dont neccasarily follow that he will jump a 4 foot stock fence, I know this from experience. A method that has been mentioned here already is to put up an obstacle in the doorway of his kennel so he has to jump in and out, but use a short length of stock fence without the barb obviously (or you might get your own tackle caught up as you go in and out ), ben
  14. Good thread mate. My take on it is this, I have had in a pup occassionally over the years , sourced from honest grafting parents. I have also bred the occasional litter for my own use and sold on a few of the spare ones that mates dont want, I dont class myself as a peddlar or a dealer. If your mate looks after his dogs as well as you say, and has the best interest of the dogs welfare and well being at heart, then I would say he's a businessman, a good businessman. He doesn't breed indiscriminately every time a bitch is in season, yes he sells his pups and makes money, but it seems that he
  15. Got a stovax STOKTON 10 kw myself, biggest thing I found apart from cleaning the chimney before every winter, and after if its been used a lot, is if the wood is not quite dry enough matey you'll get less fire, more smoke and give the impression of not drawing as good. I know this from my own experience as I had a good open fire before and you could put almost any timber on it and if it was a bit wet it would sizzle, but with a stove it needs to be dry, proper dry. Hope it helps mate. B
  16. Just looking on ebay (as you do) and found these in the military clothing, under shooting section. £35.00 for 5 staplers, and a free remover with every stapler bought. I know what I paid for the last lot I bought and it was a lot more than that. Item number on ebay i 190448838801. Hope its of some use to somebody, let us know what theyre like if it is, ATB B

F@ckinhell :tongue4: :tongue4: . What a woman, her and Charlie Dimmock, one to dig with you all day and somewhere to hang your coat on in the cold weather , and home to a nice meal rustled up by Nigela, then some hot cocoa and off to bed. You'll have to excuse me, I think I need to go to the boys room for a few seconds   . Ah, thats better, now where were we Nigella Lawson, pity that photo wasn't a few seconds later, her top bollocks might have been out fully :tongue4:
