    I shoot a bsa supersport 5, made in 1960 something, i wouldnt change it simply because it shoots well, i can hit with it consisitently, and theres probably better steel in the barrell and make up of something that old than you may get these days, possibly. Like has been said, practice with what you have got, you'll be suprised how well it ends up shooting. Regards B

    I must have shot 6 in the last week or two out the bedroom window with my.22 rimfire with a silencer on, and simiar ammounts of real big rats. I have a home made dove cot that i feed , and the wastefull fuckers cast a lot oseeds off looking for the best ones. Best sport i had in ages, havent seen any for a couple of weeks now, bloody shame really. And before you ask about using a rifle out of the bedroom window, ilive out in the sticks, way out.

    Thanks for that Rich, i'll try that next year. I will start them off in my shed next time, but it was a bit of a last minute thing to be honest this time, i put spuds, peas, beans, parsnips, onions, carrots , beetroot, radish, lettuce. probe to much but next year i'll make a bigger plot and put less in. I put the spuds too far apart this time, used up to much room. Next year, after all the manure is in, there'll be spuds, beans, cabbage, cauliflower and sprouts perhaps. I'll be back to pick your brains from time to time mate if you dont mind, good advice is always welcome and appreceated. atb

    Outstanding garden rich. Just set one myself for the first time at this address, soil is good but needs heavy mucking to get the structure right, that will be done this autumn and left to overwinter before i turn it all in ready for next year. I shall use my own chicken manure (sparingly) and plenty of farm manure. What strain are your spuds rich ? rose some of mine the other day, tasty, hell yes, very big or many , not really lol, but the ground has had no feeding for years and years i know that, i just rotavated it and put some stuff in as my boy was doing somehting in school on gardenning a

    Duramitex is real good stuff, designed for birds / poultry, the best stuff is / was the stuff you had to dilute yourself, but you cant get it anymore, Brian plummer used to say that malathion is a big no no for ferrets, but i always used to dip my ferrets in it as well as the dogs. Mechanical dandruff wont be so mobile after the use of duramitex mate, excellent stuff, in my humble opinion B

    Now then, going on the heads off etc , i had a visitor last year to my chickens, very similar evidence, i laid my trap ( Ray mears special forces trained etc), and a day or so later, i was over feeding hens etc and my little girl said to me, theres a ferret in your trap dad, so i takes a look to see a tick ridden brute of a polecat, had another a few months later, just killing for the hell of it. His visits were curtailed as well. A bop ( if large enough) will try and drag the prey if they cant fly off with it, a very intelligent one would, and come back for a second helping, i'm talking gosha

    make sure it aint got no mites or similar, or something that may make the dog scratch it, make sure theres enough room in its run / kennel so it doesnt smack its tail when it wags, all those done, get his bedding out, thoroughly cleanse his kennel etc with a suitable solution just in case, get shredded paper as bedding, wash in hibiscrub a couple of times a day until hair comes back. If that dont work shoot it..... ONLY KIDDING , try that first mate, thats what i did with mine and it cleared up, dont even know what caused it, but that hibiscrub is good stuff, i been with working dogs over 25

    Sorted it, orange didnt want to f****n know, samsung said it would take a fortnight to get it sent off etc etc, so i foned carfone warehouse in Merthyr, a girl told me they can do it in their shop on the industrial estate via a computer, but she said to try google first, put in master reset for galaxi mini, up it came, told me what to do, and the jobs done, but if anyone is going to resrtore all factory settings, remove sim and piccy card first as you may lose the lot .     Just a shot in the dark here folks, my daughter has one of these fangled bits of kit, she has a digital pasword that locks the phone, trouble is, my darling daughter has had a head rush and forgot the password , its not a numeric one, its one you can draw a pattern on the screen by joining the dots up !!!. I have tried taking the battery out, and the sim all to no avail.] Has someone out there on thl had a similar problem, and more to the point, knows how to fix it ???     He was round my way once a while ago doing a bit for coubtryfile, interviewing thsi farmer who had set up a business. He was invited in for a cuppa etc ppl being hospitable, he didnt want to f****n know, right ignorant twat, did his bit and f****d off. Did you see him act the hard c**t when he was stood behind the police at those hare coursers??, like a church mouse before the filth turned up..... a f****n arse wipe and a liar of the highest order. imo B

    You jammy bugger, your dogs will absolutely shine on that sort of food, watch they dont put weight on though as the ammount you need to feed them of quality food like that compared to the normal crap available is small. When the winter is here and the dogs are working hard, you'll be so glad you have got it mate, honestly. You wont get better. B
