    I tried my hw97 with the factory mod and then my rimfire ase mod there was a distinct difference, the rimfire ase utra was far better than the weihrauch. CBW

    Give the local firearms office a ring, mine checked on the computer and said straight away that I could shoot on a new farm. I took the officers name and then confirmed it in writing. CBW

    Peter, Sorry but I am going to hijack your post!! I am looking at doing my dsc1 in Thetford around 14th April. Peter you are welcome to stay here and join me on the course! I believe you do not require a FAC or your own rifle. My question and hijack is, should I pay the money for the 1 day pre dsc1 preperation course. CBW

    Peter, I really feel for you, I had the same nightmare, I sent out letters, banged doors, etc. I produced my BASC membership and like you got nowhere. Then I got a small paddock........Turned out to belong to one of the biggest landowners in the area....hey presto 10,000s of acres......snowballed to the point that I now have to turn down permission. Keep it up, dont get totaly demoralised be polite, courteous when being knocked back as I am now shooting on land i was initially turned down on. I am so looking forward to the post in the new year that says 'bloody hell its a yes!!

    Great news! My Mrs still keeps finding out little snippets as to how much I actually spent!!!! Shred all receipts, credit card bills and bank statements, 'look at how much you spend on clothes and makeup' does not work! Have fun!!! CBW

    Deker, As mentioned previously next time your this way give me a call! My missus and yours? can 'do lunch and shops' whilst we do bunnies!!! I have to say I do feel very lucky to have so much to shoot on, I do however also have some 'large' pony padocks to shoot on but they are full of rabbits! CBW

    Hi Deker, mine is the same here in Suffolk very specific. However my FEO sorted all my paperwork errors out when he visited, lines and crosses through things, added expanding and also increased my purchase/hold as he said my quantities were too low! So Mr Universe, dont stress too much, have the kettle boiled and have a nice honest chat and ask for advice and help! Low and behold you too will have an aplication form like mine with modifications and crossing outs!!!!!!! CBW

    Do have a look at the Deben field and stream first, there is a link at the top of this thread, I am so pleased with mine for the value and quality, I was actually quite shocked how good they are! Also go for a matching long sleeve 't' shirt so you can undo/remove the jacket if you get hot. Gloves and lightweight balaclava are also important, I bought mine as a pair in matching hardwoods green from e bay. CBW

    Have a play with some targets, I really enjoy a bit of paper punching and can get a 'fair' grouping at 120yrds (good enough for rabbit head shots) CBW
