My annie has the two stage trigger and I love it!!!! If you want the nice stock you can spec it with the Montecarlo stock this is really good walnut with rosewood 'bits' again i love mine but you do get a bit precious about chucking it in the nettles or over a fence!!! cbw

Sorry to hijack your post, the howa 243 was suggested as an option if I were to win the lottery, how do you get on with it ? If you were to buy again would you buy the howa and which model would you now go for???? CBW

Just googled Mike Norris the web site is www.kingstonedeer.com Keep the thoughts comming? CBW

Assume you were to win the lotery and cash was not a major issue. What make and model .243 would you buy for fox/deer and what glass would you put on it! This is mostly for a bit of fun, but also I am about to request .243 for my certificate and would like to buy something a 'bit special'. Cheers CBW

Is that all that they are?? That would be great!! CBW

I would still buy the 6.5-20*50 as I love mine!!! The hand book states, 'Special requirements should be met when sighting the Conquest 6.5-20*50MC riflescope. To be able to use the full range of the elevation adjustment, the riflescope should be mounted on the rifle at an angle of approx. 20 angular minutes with commercialy available mounting systems. (corresponds to 21 inch/100 yards or 58.4cm/100m)' This does not apply to any of the other Conquest range. On this note does anyone know where I can get the above commercialy available mount???? Once again do not let me put yo

Just to reinforce my earlier comment...That zeiss requires special mounts. I will try to find the handbook and quote the spec for you, its all to do with having a slight elevation on the mount. It is quite specific as to the type of mount and I am having slight problems with distance shots as I have used standard mounts. I have just finished a long nightshift (piss heads on a Monday night!!!) I will find the book up later. CBW

I cant stand my Weihrauch and if I were to buy another air rifle it would be a S410. CBW

Hi, That Zeiss is a great scope but it requires a special mount. (can use standard but FAR from ideal and I am having to replace mine) Mine has the butler creeks on and they are great but the rear one gets in the way when you try to focus the scope.(ive got used to it) My Bipod of the same make/size that you are suggesting just fits onto the sling swivel/stud and then the sling fits to the bottom of the bipod. There is a picture of my rifle with the above gear in a section further down titled 'scope choice'. Also watch out for the tax man, if it can be sent as a 'gift' this

I really enjoy getting out a couple of hours early and punching paper at 'long' distances until the bunnies start to show! When I switched from an air rifle to my rimfire I really struggled with the transition, I now feel comfortable with my scope and rifle. I have now fired many thousands of rounds in 6 months. I take several targets with me and 2 'pea sticks' and tape the target to these, no weight and fit in your pocket! CBW

What a shame, you win some, you lose some!!! What do you think to the scope? I love mine and get on really well with it. CBW

Hi, Quick question, how long have you had your FAC before you asked for it to be opened ? Cheers cbw

Am I the only one who zeros at 80yrds???? I do this as it suits the main farm I shoot on. If I want 100yrds I go up 6 clicks on the scope or 60yrds down 6 clicks...I have marked my scope for 40, 60, , 100 and 120 yrds. This works really well for me. CBW

I for one was gutted....had a look at the other side, seemed like a nice bunch but it just didnt do it for me!

My father had permission to shoot on some feilds in Thornwood Common (Essex)so he bought us both a sharp inova pneumatic pump up air rifle, I was 10 or 11 years old. (1980ish) I still have this air rifle, it is all but knackered now as it wont hold its air pressure but I would like to get it fixed one day as its a small rifle with no recoil, ideal starter for my daughter! Hi, Eley subs are favorite for me with Remmingtons being my biggest dislike! Enjoy your new rifle! CBW

Hi, As already stated, go for the 5 gun, I have and struggle to get 3 scoped rifles in it! Mine came from e-bay, it was in excellent condition with 2 sets of keys for £45 it was however an awful colour so it was painted with silver hammerite!!!! If like me you do buy second hand, make sure it meets all the legal requirements. CBW

Hi Jamie, I know for most people it would be too large for an Anshcutz .22lr, however I damaged my Right eye as a child and find the larger magnification very beneficial especialy when shooting targets. Most of my rabbit shooting is done at yards so this is my usual zero and I tend to use it on 12* magnification. I also enjoy some target work and set the targets at 120yrds for which I use the 20* mag. I spent as much money as the wife would let me get away with!!! (she does not actually know the full cost) I wanted a very accurate rifle hence the Anschutz I put my webley
