  1. I am new to rimfire rifles and am getting on quite well, but have a quick question. How do you properly dispose of missfire or jammed ammunition? I collect all my spent shells and chuck these in the recycle bin but dont know what to do with still live but duff ammo? Thanks..

  3. I am waiting for my rifle to come back from proofing having had one of these fitted, do you not take it apart to clean it then?

I know that when I was going through this I had initialy applied for my FAC rapid and the officer did a land inspection, then I realised I had made a mistake and applied for my rf he did another inspection. Reading other posts on this site it appears protocols vary from area to area. I am in west Suffolk. Regards, James
  5. I too had this problem, I have owned air rifles for many years and decided I wanted a FAC Rapid. I am surrounded by farms and have permission to shoot vermin on 2 of the largest in the area. I thought this would be a great rabbit rifle and investigated further. I was put off by several factors, I would be for ever recharging the gas bottle 40 shots per charge. Obviously I would require spare bottles. The need to buy a divers bottle and regulator.   6. I too had this worry, as whilst a youngster I had been convicted of possesion of an offensive weapon(baseball bat), threatening behaviour and a serious driving offence. These were 18 years ago but I thought it would be worth trying for an FAC as I am surrounded by fields and have shot rabbits for 30 years with an air rifle but wanted a rimfire for a better kill and longer range.
