  1. I hate the flees so I have a roll of small plastic bags and bag them up singley then leave them where I can find them on the walk back, to the car. They then go in a larger bin bag together in my game bag. CBW
  2. OK we dont know the full facts, it could have been broken and safety on as in this local incident?????? A WOMAN was in hospital last night after she was accidentally shot by her husband in a freak incident at an idyllic Suffolk lake. Jon Hudson's shotgun discharged into the 49-year-old's ankle when he slipped down a rabbit hole at Bromeswell Lakes, near Woodbridge. They had been carrying out a routine patrol for fish predators at the lakes, where Mr Hudson is the leaseholder, with the legally-held firearm when the tragedy happened. His wife Mandy was taken to Ipswich Hosp
  3. I wondered about that to.....177 air on fox? and a .22 rimfire on rats....can you imagine the ricochet......
  4. Sorry if this is condesending, but make sure you keep the gun covered and leave the pellets at home! It may even be worth a quick phone call to the dealer first I am alittle worried from your post that this may be a FAC air rifle and I am unsure of the NI laws. CBW
  5. Hahahah Just to put the fox amoungst the rabbits.......I like to do both, bloody hell I can multi task!
  6. Take it to a gunsmith, have it tested and then adjusted to the legal limit, then you should be fine! It can probably be pumped up with a 'stirup' pump or filled at your local dive center or gunshop! CBW
  7. What about requesting an open ticket? I am also a bit puzzled (easily done) about your coment on registering? The other farms that I shoot on required a quick phone call to confirm suitability with the FEO and a quick email from myself to say thanks for her time and I will be shooting on 'APlace farm' CBW!
  8. I have not seen any so far this year! So a big fat zero for me! CBW

    Hares

It is a little strange that you can legaly shoot a hare with an air rifle but not a rimfire, I have told my friend I owe the beers! CBW

    Hares

Following an earlier heated discussion, I have told a friend he cannot legaly shoot hares with his air rifle and I believe I cannot shoot them with my rimfire as I do not have game as a condition on my FAC........Am I correct or will I have to buy the beers????? CBW
  13. I get really hacked off stripping down the ASE utra to clean it, really fiddly and takes for ever to get back together properly! CBW
  14. I still cant see the problem, the rabbit is vermin and has been legaly hunted and legaly shot, this is a hunting and shooting forum????? CBW
  15. I think most of us could give examples of a similar scenario, I am unsure of the solution as a 12ftlbs air rifle has its place in the larger garden. I for one shoot exactly the same as the pigeons poo in my pool, all over the garden furniture and my daughters play equipment and the blooming squirrels eat ALL the walnuts off my tree about 1 week before they are ripe! It would not be possible to go any more powerfull in my garden, richochet would be a nightmare so 12 fps it is and I have to stomach the very odd less than perfect shot. CBW
  16. What a bloody spoilsport, I only found out as I tried it on the work pc!!! But we are very busy in the amb service, it was obviously in my own time...............
  17. I am about the same as the V...... Work out where your targets are likely to be and where you want to shoot from. Pace it out, then go and play with some paper at similar distances, put one target 20 paces nearer and one 20 paces further and work out where this is on milli dots or clicks on the turrets! I like Eely subs. CBW
  18. We all bitch amoungst ourselves, I am yet to see any real 'antis' coment on here. If a rabbit showed itself and I had a 308 to hand I would take the shot and I have to say there have been many worse pics on here. Soon no one will post any interesting pictures for fear of getting a slagging off, keep your negative comments to yourselves, if you dont like hunting pictures go join a flower arranging site! I just published a few rabbit pictures on my facebook profile and out of 400+ friends I received 1 'anti' style comment and that was from a mates daughter who is 16 years old and lives i
  19. Eley subs, I have tried several others including high velocity stuff, I cannot fault the Eleys apart from the fact they smell really odd!!!! Time for bed! CBW
  20. I am not the worlds greatest shot by any stretch of the imagination, but as I said earlier I am consistantly doing bunny heads at 110yrds(paced).,....1.5ish inch with the odd fligher!!!!
  21. Chucked it away..............You owe me a KFC
  22. Its one of those things...I often wonder if I wasted my money buying this set up (If the wife found out I would be in deep sh1t), as you say the CZ is an excelent rifle, I could have bought a shotgun and a 243 for the dosh I spent on this set up! That said I do enjoy shooting targets at long range and am lead to believe this is the rifle to do that!!?? Also perhaps its like my sunglasses, because I spent too much money on them/it I look after them/it!!!!! CBW
  23. The land owner likes foxes! What can I say, I know I would never get found out, but I respect there wishes and wont shoot the foxes, if I was 400 yrds to the west I am on another permission and I can shoot them........but never see them! CBW
  24. So, I have had the week from hell! A murder and the ladys three young children witnessed her brutal death, a funeral, some high pressure meetings and a nasty letter from the bank! Should I turn to booze and drugs....Possibly. I have been so busy its not been possible to get out on my permissions for several months, however tonight I had the time and definately the need! I started to walk along the top field, with the intention of heading into the 'valley' (Suffolk) to check my zero and punch a few holes, there were several bunnies about and I took two and missed two......lets g
