Had a walk with Jim and Ern last night,it was a big full moon not the best lamping conditions
but we made the most of it.Ern put 35 rabbits and a partridge in the bag so it was well worth going.
all the best for 2013
Had a run out with Jim as it was mild and the wind was blowing
the plan was to split up and do some sperate fields
then to meet up and lamp another spot a bit later.
after a first few feilds i left 4 rabbits at a drop of point so i could do the feilds on the otherside of a lane starting with and empty bag.
Meg has had problems with a split nail these last few weeks and i could see it was starting to bother her so with 14 in my rucksack i decided to call it a night with her.
i phoned Jim and he had a bag full and was ready to meet up,i went to spot to pick the 4 up from earlier a
yes he very collie looking and works how you would expeced a colliex to work in the day time when working to the nets, but for me when night time comes i think you need just that bit of fire in the bellys to run the lamp..atb
spot on, , well done fellas and dogs
Daz ,, Jim is not online, is up the dales tonight lamping i know that for a fact.
i was gona go but my pup is out of action. with his phone he can not get internet.
cheers lofti,,, for the dogs to do this day in day out they have to be fit and more so good after care, for them to get strait back into it,,, the following nites,,,
, thats a pick worth framing.
My ruck sac will fit about 16 in it and with a few in your pockets and holding a couple its nice when you can drop them off,
it was hard work, but far harder for the dogs they are the real grafters every thing went right for us that night and our lurchers did us proud.
yes 16 is plenty enough mine is same size bag but straps look well padded on that one
been on the look out for a new one for a bit, with a strap that fastens round the chest.
Had a run over to Jims , we set out lamping about 10pm on some his permission over Lincolnshire way
moon was up a fair bit but the was some cloud cover and a fair bit of wind.
it was good running for the dogs and the bunnies seemed to be flying.
Meg bagged 16 and Ern 17.
