My bull x from years ago 5/8 hound 3/8 bull with a dog fox, he would kill 10+ fox's a night no problem to him... If he could catch them ??? once seen a hound fly by him like he was standing still ? he was more a terriermans tool then a running dog.

That suits you perfect stick with it, everyone is different I'm not saying one breed is better then the other just different type dogs suit different people better. Worked plenty of bandogs over the years some bang off them on a long send for sure no suit would be mangled in no time, fine looking animals some of them.

I've absloutly no time for nerve in a dog, you say "prey monster" I understand you and agree your right in that aspect a dog with high pray drive on a sleeve is basically just a pitbull in a spring pole. This is such a complex conversation with many aspects of it many different types of Mali you can relate to like lurchers depends on the game u hunt and ground you work sorry If I lost u in translation hopefully you get what I'm saying And to be honest I don't want a PP dog barking at strangers or been aggressive... That's what a guard dog does a PP dog should be
-
Yes your right about the sleeve, I've sent Mali's all over the world for police and sport there's the key word everyone misses "sport" while working the sleeve the dog is in pray drive witch is sport a lot of dogs when get the sleeve walk off the tail wagging, I've always wore a full suit and this might sound extreme but a hurleing helmet also when working the more serious type dogs as I've seen to many times a dog switch a grip in a bite and seen so many lads left in a bad way. I'm just gonna translate this in hunting terms for lads on here so here it goes You have lurchers
-
See some posts mentioning the larger breeds, trust me even a 25kg Mali bitch with high drive and a deep full push bite wold be enough to stop most men.
-
Barking is a watch dog a chihuahua can be a good watch dog, you right in a seance barking can be nerve depends in the manor in what way a dog does it, I can switch a dog onto "watch" command and he will bark his head off (absloutly no nerve) until I give the comand to bite I never train them in that command I'll tell them either "go" or "now"
-
Protection dogs and "guard dogs" different levels, haven worked and trained Mali's the past 5 years there protection dogs, not guard dog's, but I see were your coming from some do have that guarding instinct but I'd not be buying a pup in the hope it has it buy one ready made with guarding instincts.

had x2 over the years never worked out for me, just luck thy can't all be the standard some of us set, not knocking them just the couple I had didn't work out.

Pot filler / working the lamp View Advert Working lurcher wanted!! For working the lamp, cross not important but would like a good winded dog or bitch that carry's back to hand (doesn't have to carry live) knows it's job (don't mind a younger lurcher that needs some bringing on once it has the basics) hitting cover is important and running the beem no time wasters or messers. Be used for rabbits so I don't mind anything that jacked on teeth, comment or PM me with what you have... Don't mind haven the dog threw the summer I just don't want a

Thanks bird, best lurcher I ever owned was bread similar saluki bull hound whippet, was an all rounded dog long ears durn the day and would pull all day long and everything in between, only fault he had was hitting cover to hard would lodge himself in the bush while the rabbit skipped back out and trot along the bush to safety while hes making a meal of trying to wiggle out of the mess he got himself into, how he never broke his neck ill never know lads when out would always pass comments on how he hit the cover iv never seen anything like it but was a disadvantage when out on the lamp looking
