  1. Hey all, Have been out almost everday recently as I'm back for the easter holidays and go shooting either AM or PM depending on when I'm working. Havent had much joy in terms of kills as the rabbits are only just appearing again really and have just been unlucky with the pigeons. Not to say I havent had fun or learnt anything in the process Popped out yesterday and had a bit of a session on calculating my mildots etc on the new scope, just getting comfortable with them to ensure maximum accuracy etc... I looked in the boot of my car and found my mates old crow decoy, so for fun thought
  2. Unlucky buddy, its the name of the game though sometimes. I would like to think I'm at the best I've ever been yet 1 kill per hunt is good going at the moment. Will post yesterdays trip later on and then have another go later on after work. Jack
  3. Not following you buddy.... If your talking about alternative places to shoot a rabbit then I wouldnt really explore that avenue. As someone once said on here The head is a small target and is visible, the heart is a small target and NOT visible. A profile, sideways on headshot is second to none for rabbits mate and almost all air rifle quarry. I'm sure someone will move this to General Air Rifle, as this section is reserved for peoples hunting trips!! All the best Jack
  4. Really good hunt mate, nice mixed bag. Weather does play a role but if you dont go you wont find out. Rabbits love it when its just rained and it starts to clear up I find. Good shooting. Jack
  5. Woah very impressive stuff! I'm only looking to deck out my hw95k with a darker wood possibly thumhole stock! However anyone I know who is looking for the sort of stuff on this site I will forward it to them as it looks the biz. All the best Jack

I personally have very little experience in even identifying them so If I came accross one I wouldnt shoot till' I had checked it out. I like seeing a variety of wildlife about, hence why I wouldnt enjoy shooting a stag in Engalnd for example when its such a rare sight (in some places). Will have a little look online just incase I ever cross one Jack
  7. My mate got one second hand and was very loud, made a 'blap' noise. Turned out to be doing only 7ft pounds. Took it back and got a springer
  8. Good one mate, cant wait to get out this weekend. Jack
  9. I was advised that in a springer to bring down the ftlb you needed heavy pellets, and in a pcp lighter pellets? Not sure how this works. I shoot over 12ftlb with rws superdomes and was told to go heavier... Jack
  10. Hello mate cant help with the guide to taking apart but with regard to silencing, Ihave a 95k and the silencer that came with it is a real good weirauch one and the diffeence between it on and off is amazing, However you need to judge whether you think the main noise is the spring etc or whether its muzzle noise. I can imagine its hard to judge to be honest. Main issue is getting a strip down manual. Try searches on google see if anyone has done the same? Youtube video? If theres any chance of you getting one it will be with the HW80 as its been around for ages and owned by alot of people.
  11. Evening all, Just enquiring into the idea of custom stocks. Wouldnt mind getting a darker wood stock on my rifle when money allows, maybe adding a little bit more weight to it also. I have searched about but not getting lots. People go on about CS600's and names alike, I assume relating to the Custom Stocks UK site thing? http://www.customstock.co.uk/Products.htm I dont think I can be blamed in feeling this site is a bit offputting in terms of the pictures! I have seen peoples guns with some of the products on here and some of them look amazing bits of work. Would of thought they wou
  12. I have a brand new 3 litre breathing tank for sale cheap, only been used twice. My friend returned his gun for a springer and was lefyt with the breathing tank!!! Message me if your interested, will be a very fair price Jack
  13. So all in all.... My Nikko 4-12x42 AO Gold Crown only lasted bout a year and a half which is a bit shit but must of been unlucky you know? Needed to upgrade to milldots anyway, which I have on my new scope, a scope that under the 140 price mark the fella who owns Otmoors gun shop knows his stuff and said thats the best optics you can go with in this case. Hawke and Nikko made in same factory I'm told.. Hugo got rid of his PCP and went for a high investment £479 no hassle springer as thats the sort of shooter he is. Didnt want the lingeirng thought of incosistency or problems with h
  14. By time all this had happened, we had basically lost the light. All got a quick zero in at 20 yards as we were going to go out on a new permission we have down some old train line (like industrial revolution old) no tracks or anything. Would be close combat with 1 police torch between 3 of us so was just a long shot at getting anything but we were all relieved after a roller coaster day. Hugo christened his HW97KT with the only rabbit we saw just as we were leaving. Couple of joke posed pictures with the guns bellow! Me
  15. We went straight from my friends house to Otmoors gun shop in Deddington. A purely airgun based shop. I asked the guys if they would chronograph Dylans new 97k and also Hugo's pre-owned Webley Raider 10 he bought a month ago. 97K was about 11.9 average, Logan was (drum roll)...........................7.0ftlb!!!! Obviously we werent happy about this and decided that I would take his gun back to the shop, after he goes back to Marine training. Get it sent off and fixed and all that... So we went back to the shooting spot with pellets etc and targets. I got to work zero'ing to find out
  16. Hi all, So this is basically leading on from my previous topic '700 pellets and still no zero..'. After the long awaited week to get back home to my rifle, I had made my mind up that it surely must be a fouled barrell. Simply as it had never been done, had never thought to do it to be honest. I then re-mounted my scope perfectly ready for the test the next day. Would I be bang pellet on pellet after this clean? Or would the golf ball size groupings (and larger) with an undiagnosed cause continue? So saturday morning I arrive at my mate Hugos house (scratchbat on forums)to pick him
