I recently sold a lamp to a fellow hunter on this site.I posted it to him on 24/09/2009 at 12.54pm using first class recorded post and it has not arrived yet ,when i contacted royal mail they told me that if it does not get delivered in 15 working days from posting then i should contact them again . Is it me or are royal mail just feckin useless these days i paid for first class post i could have walked down to nottingham with it by now

You can bet your boots that ALL airguns will be required to be on a Firearms Certificate in the very near future after this incident and people that have airguns who can not legally get a Firearms Certificate will have to hand them over to police.

I only have the foxpro because it was bought as a gift and sent to me by someone who thought she was doing the right thing ......But i still had to pay the import tax before the courier would deliver it As i said i do still use the call that i have used for years with devastating results and i would not have bought the foxpro due to the cost but it does work in certain circumstances and because it is remote control it can be switched on /off,volume can be adjusted and you can select whatever call you like also you do not have to call the fox directly to where you are but to where you can s

FOXPRO is up there among the best it is not just a fox caller though it has 100 diferent calls on it and you can download more but it is also very costly,i have the foxpro scorpion it cost about £400 by the time i paid the import tax it is a very good call but i still revert back to my old reed call sometimes

hi mate engineering agencies in Dumfermline are selling good buck lock knifes there the dogs danglies they hold a good edge and are resonably priced too.....

my sloes have been in the gin now for two weeks (no freezing)i added two vanilla pods this year to see if it tastes much different i make mine i two empty scrumpy flaggons it seems to work well and i had the added fun of drinking the scrumpy first,last year i did not add the sugar untill the berries were strained off this way you can add it to taste,i had some before the sugar was added mixed with lemonade it would make a great summer drink,but i probably only add half the sugar that recipies recommend ,remember though if you make it too sweet you can add some unsweetened stuff to it until you

check all of the wiring could be a loose connection .i made my magnet myself years ago out of a windscreen wiper motor and wired it so there are three wires it has two speeds depending what wires are connected.could be you have pulled a spade connector off at the motor end and pushed it back on the wrong spade....

THERE MAY BE A NEW COURSE TITLED" FIT AND COMPETANT". IM LED TO BELIEVE THAT IF YOU HAVE COMPLETED DCS1/2 YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO JUST SIT THE NEW EXAM BUT IM NOT SURE AT THIS POINT ,NOBBODY SEEMS TO WANT TO GIVE US A STRAIGHT ANSWER, I WILL BE HOLDING OFF UNTIL WE ARE TOLD AT LEAST THEN YOU WILL SIT THE COURSE AND THEN THE EXAM WHILE EVERYTHING IS STILL FRESH IN YOUR MIND MATE.... THAT IS IF THIS BILL GETS THROUGH......

heres the most recent reply i got it apears that anyone who has dcs1+2 will have to sit this new test but will not require the training ,i bet the test will have a fee and also there will be a further fee to go on the register Dear Mr Smith Thank you for your query. Hi mate ,the reform bill is nothing whatsoever to do with deer welfare or management ,its all about squeezing cash out of stalkers and it is a last ditch attempt by DCS to raise some revenue to fill the coffers of The Scottish National Herratige ........

I have emailed two or three times to clarify some of the points raised on this board and i have made him aware that this thread is running along with the poll running pinned to the deer management section of THL and he does email you back with answers but on some things he has got to consult DCS I am awaiting his reply to my last few questions but he has told me he would rather wait until after his meeting with DCS so that he can put the questions to them before answering , I will post his reply...... just found this on the basc website Government releases misleading figures on deer stalking in Scotland 26 June 2009 BASC Scotland has uncovered misleading guidance in the consultation document for the Wildlife and Natural Environment Bill. The consultation states that ‘there have been three fatalities associated with deer stalking in the last four years’. Hi mate ,were all in this together ,The British Deer Society will be watching this and you can bet your bottom dollar that this will eventually happen in england too, it might be worth reading through the proposals, land owners in scotland will not even be able to shoot deer themselves on thier own land without having the relevent certificate but DCS will be able to force them to have the deer controlled by a trained hunter or face procecution ,trained hunters may even charge for this service who knows......everyone will be stitched up by this if it goes through

Im not sure mate ,the way things are worded in the response it looks like there may be another cert that incorporates dcs 1+2, it states £250 for training and £ for exam but it does not say for whitch qualification ,but hey who knows.......,I just Emailed Andrew Taylor and asked the question will let you know when he gets back to me

steven macgregor is on hols mate but if you forward any mail to the guy that answered mine Andrew.Taylor@scotland.gsi.gov.uk,cause if we sit back and do nothing we only have ourselves to blame,as mentioned many stalkers still are unaware this is going on so spread the word and hopefully we can get this thrown out remember this is only a consultation if there are enough protests then who knows.........

Were all in this together ,get sending the letters of opposition in to the scottish parliament and let them know that they are supposed to be representing the scottish people not robbing us of our civil rights,well require a safety certificate to sit and watch the tv soon they moan that were too fat and then they take away things that encorage us to get off the armchair.......someone said earlier on THL "SHOOTING IS GOING TO BE FOR THE RICH" and it certainly is starting to look that way........
