The set up is looking sweet Bill! Im going to order a couple of lightweight batteries next week. Yours look nice and compact attached to your stock Mick Forgot to ask Bill did you have the nitesite on the highest i.r setting when testing the lightweight batteries? Thanks Mick No I did not Mick, it was on the first setting. I need to run the test again, as the battery I was using, was still going strong after 5 hours, I had to stop it to go out. Next time I will run it on the highest setting and see what we get time wise. As I said above, as it stands, with the -

PM incomming Elliot. The Nitesite is a brilliant bit of kit mate, well worth a look if your thinking about NV. i'll second that Bill! Thought my camcorder n1000 set up was good until i used the ns200. Excellent piece of kit that had made my shooting easier. -
Wellington advice,,,muck boots, aigle... etc
optelic2 replied to canaliculata's topic in Gundogs & Retrievers
Had a pair of Muck boot tay sport for over 4 years. Showing sign of wear now but have been a good warm boot. A little too warm once the weather warms up but a good boot all the same. -

Hi Bill, im running my ultra on h&n ftt's not sure on head size but they 'go' well. Might think about getting my Ultra regulated once the warrenty runs out on it. Sounds like the sculptra is the 'nuts' mate! Sorry to hear about the shoulder not good at all. Guess your having cortezone injections? i suffered a very similar injury about 16 years ago, after physio etc it sorted the injury but my shoulder has never felt the same since although i can do my shooting etc no problem Hope you get sorted asap mate. -

bsa ultra multi shot
optelic2 replied to shabadoodoo's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Single shot ok if you dont need quick follow up shots. Ratting last night i shot four rats in a matter of seconds something i couldnt have done with a single shot. The new bsa magazines are also very good, ive yet to have a jam after getting through four tins of pellets.I would say that there isnt any accuracy advantage in using a single shot? There is not an accuracy advantage, but less chancee of damaging the skirt in loading one by one then letting them index through the mag. Not really more accurate just less chance of a flyer which could wound your target. also there is no big -

bsa ultra multi shot
optelic2 replied to shabadoodoo's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Ive had mine 4 months and find it excellent although i did have a problem earlier on with the magazine indexing rod but this was repaired under warrenty. Ive used mine for rabbits for which it has been excellent although i normally use use fac air and rimmy for rabbit work. Main use for the Ultra is rats with my ns200 nv mounted on it. Its ideal as the Ultra is so light and i generally shoot off sticks which makes for very easy shooting. Ive previously owned most decent pcp's in the past but have a soft spot for the Ultra as its such a nice lightweight and short rifle. -

Picked up the ns200 yesterday afternoon had a quick charge of the battery then off to the rat shoot where i shot 11 rats pretty quickly although as usual recovering the bodies was hard work . I can say that the yellow filter kindly supplied by Bill greatly reduced screen brightness. Thanks mate! Check out 'Ratzilla' at the top of the pic lol. -
As well as my thirsty landy i also run an old astra van which gives me 50+mpg.

Hiya Bud. What was the review saying about it, was it all bad Ive just got in from the shop with the magazine and it says- "Easy to use and set up and soon put some bunnies in the bag. Image quality was pretty good and range impressive. Drawbacks? A few; there are plenty of wires and bits hanging on your setup. It is easy to knock the adaptorand affect the view through the scope (although this is easily readjusted) and like all nightvision systems, unless you have a seperate night sight to scan the fields with, you have to use your rifle setup to scan for animals. Not something i -
