Silkies will sit tight and sit to death, Literally! Most people have mentioned the committed hens, I use Light Sussex and Cochins for sitting. The latter just for sitting a few eggs.

My season ended about 4 weeks ago when I fell in a ditch one night whilst out with a couple of skanks from in here.......

JR, what you feeding your dog? Some just do not put it on and are fit as fiddles, In 18yrs I've only had the need to breed twice, Saluki/collie/grey's and 4 out of 8 pups did not put it on, but mastered the fields to a T. And then there's those who's weight just fluctuate.

Just flogged a copy for £380. Got two more copies here. You serious artic? If you are my copy is going on ebay Yes H&J, also today a book on Ornamental Pheasants went for £500. Same picture book as JD's but obviously pheasants. You really cannot put a price on a book, same as paintings.
