  2. Like most of the other folks have said, it needs to go to the vets. Bites can push infection deep inside and the wound can basically rot from the inside out!!!!!!!!!
  3. ask him to get the picture up of the speeding ticket off last year brimmer....its mad...hahahaha Aye and that bugger is your fault, making me drive home faster so you could see your lass as you were missing her after a few days fishing HAHAHA What are you Sky boys doing with ladders on your vans???? 4. As is the norm on our syndicate we had a walk about/ mop up day. The day started well when i shot a stratospheric pigeon with the first shot of the day, it was probably my best shot of the year and a good retrieve for the dog, Then we went on to a few drives and picked up half a dozen cock birds and a couple of pigeons before finishing in a wood roost shooting. Now the bad bit. When we returned from the wood we found that some b*****d had broken into 3 of the 4 motors and had stolen game bags, cartridge bags, boots ,waterproofs, other assorted bits of clothing and gunslips. I had my jeep broke

  7. And I thought mine was big I also have some dark polecats
  8. If you have trouble getting a silver hob to cross your jill and fancy a drive down the m1 im in bedford and have a choice of 2
  9. Alot of people will say that £20 is too much to pay for a ferret but if she turns out to be a top notch worker and you are happy with her then £20 is not alot of money. I hope she turns out to be top notch
  10. Earlier on in the season I use both hobs and jills but now that the hobs are getting all horny i only take jills because i find that all the hobs want to do is chase the girls.
  11. Its called trying to run before you can walk and trying to tell people with years more experience than you how to suck eggs
  12. Why do people keep harping on about the good old days??? And we used to do this in the good old days!! Lets put this into perspective.......... Was it not in the good old days that they used to sew the ferrets mouth together? Was it not in the good old days poachers used to poach for the pot? Was it not the good old days that gave us myxy??? How many of the people blowing on about fieldcraft and no need to use locators have a mobile phone or a flat screen TV? I'm not saying that good things didnt happen or come out of the olden days but as with everything technology developes so why should we
  13. he hasn been reading anything , thats the problem Seems a weird thing for a 14 year old to come out with.
  14. Good for you mate. Nice to see someone considering the consequences before they breed Do you go ferreting Droid? Because if you do, then you would realise if you have a very good line, that you should keep it going. If it means keeping a few, and killing the ones which arent to your satisfaction, then so be it. Thats how the extraordinary ferrets are bred. What a screwed up and antiquated view. The bottom line is if you cant get rid then you dont breed. and all this bollocks about line breeding, do you realise that line breeding is another name for in-breeding. How long have
  15. Ive just looked at your profile and you are just 14 years old but what you have just come out with about keeping a line going is something an old ferreter would have said. I personally think you have been reading the wrong books

How long have you actually been keeping ferrets for Wilf?
  17. I know its naughty but everyone on here should leave a comment Maybe he will remove it then
  18. Ive been reading up on them for the last couple of weeks. They are big in scandinavia and america but little heard of here. They are said to be bad mothers or incapable of mothering so you need to put the kits to a foster jill should you wish to mate them. They also only have a couple of angoran kits per litter hence the high price.
  19. Cheers mate ive sent him a pm. As regards to the price i knew they were going to be exspensive and there wouldnt be a chance of taking them out. The rabbits would piss them selves laughing if they saw one of them running towards them.
  20. Does anybody know of anyone who breeds or has angora ferrets and a rough price? The wife has just seen some on tv and gone gaga
  21. ferrets are addictive Ive reduced numbers big time, used to have more, but have kept what I belive to be the best of the best those who keep ferrets will know, its no harder looking after two as it is one, and therefore numbers grow, also I have 3 generations, I keep breeding registers and can therefore keep the best cariteristics in my line Stubby you have just sorted out my sunday afternoon I too have alot of ferrets and have been looking at getting a couple more carry cases but that is a cracking idea.. Like you I am able to drive right upto my permissions and this is going
  22. Books are a great way of knowledge and learning the fundamentals but what they cant teach you is field-craft and the 6th sense that a experienced ferreter will have. I personally would recommend that you get as much literature as you can and read it, ask questions on here because there are quite a few experienced and knowledgeable folks on here and they will put you on the right path (or confuse the hell out of you ) and try to team up with someone who has experience and who can show you the ropes. Remember that knowledge can be gained from books but experience cannot.
  23. sorry to cause offence and i didnt say you were full of shite, as far as i understand anemia is an iron deficiancy, yes? so why not just increase the iron in the diet? It is a wasting of the bone marrow that causes the anemia As i understand it the estrogen at high levels kills of red blood cells , the bone marrow becomes incapable of producing red blood cells & thats what delivers oxygen to the vital organs, hense the shorteing of breath in a jill with the condition Without wanting to get into a biology lesson Kay, you a partially right. Yes the bone marrow breaks down
