    Thought it was in the wrong section,i give a dog away to a couple which just wasnt up to scratch two weeks later they asked my mate if he could find out its exact birthday so they can have a party,sad or what,i dont even celebrate my own birthday,got to agree stupidest post ever.

    Get a round mouth bulldog,if you know someone who welds get a metal shaft welded on,last you for years,always keep a spare in the motor aswell,i also got a small bulldog with afibre glass handle,got to say ive had no problems with it and it fits into my old tent bag lovely.

    Couple of my mates have seen a one round were i live when they been driven home,it and the normal coloured ones will probably end up getting run over as their sett is close to a busy road.

    There has always been a dog in mothers house,mongrels,then russells for bushing,a couple of lurchers,then someone showed me what a terrier is properly for and havnt looked back.

    Not trying to cause an argument but if a dog IMO dosnt do what i ask of it,that is go to ground and stay it is a failed earth dog,but different people have different views.

    Know what you mean asbo but i tried all that pegged right next to the dig and let it see what was happening,he was screaming to get in but i kept him back,we had a few digs different days done that again but he still wouldnt go so he gone to a pet home now,shame cos he was a nice stamp.

    Got a thirteeen year old pat/laky cross that will still go obviously dont like to workmhim now but if i know the sett he is allowed to do what he likes.Dont know how too put pictures up.

    Wouldnt say you can put a definate age on it,all dogs are different and i think you just know when it just isnt working out ,ive just got rid of a well bred lakeland that would go in a stop end but it just didnt want to find its own work,id had him in big places,small places a few times and he came out after looking then put my young laky bitch in and dug her out.A few lads said the penny might just drop but then how much longer do you give it,i think if your honest with yourself you know when to say get rid.

    Dont go out with any mounted packs,but go out with lads who hunt on foot,bettr than mounted packs,have found the mounted packs to be too stuck up.

    The only thing you can trust is your dog so youve just got to believe it ,if you havent got another more experianced dog to put in,had the same trouble with my young bitch but by trusting her ive had a few digs with her this season,but if all dogs were the same and like robots what sort of fun would it be.

    Got a gutchcommon bred dog direct from J,Glover,worst mistake regards working terriers,wouldnt go to ground and would not even bush it would go about a foot in the bramble get tangled up and just sit there chewing the bramble and before anyone asks its coat wasnt to long,had it all shaved it off thinking it might help but made no difference.

    Got a pair with the realtree on the side,they are comfortable but no good for walking through woods with bramble, the realtree stuff is ripped to death and now resemble a pair of tights got to be honest no water has came through yet but it cant be long and i only got them about three months ago,i personally wouldnt have another pair.

    Finally a decent dig to my young bitch went to check a few places on sat by myself,tried a small place first but both young dogs were not interested so went on to another place which is a lot bigger the bitch wanted to be in so i collared her up and let her go,the game was giving her the run around for a while and i was having doubts as id dug to her in this place before without success,anyway after a while i got a mark at 1.6 on the b&t so my coat was off and i started digging it was a bit stony but not too bad,i got down about three foot and the box said she was on the move,bit gutted bu
