    What sort of bedding you got the dog on?My russell pup had the shites like that took him to the vets as he had started limping from playing with other dogs,kept him in for an xray,leg was okay was told to feed him chicken,pasta for stomach,took him back next week for check up,still runny shite,vet said it might be the pain relief,wasnt happy as he hadnt had any till id took him for the leg,anyway he had a couple of shites with lumps in so i chopped it with shovel it was very fibrous he had been chewing his bedding,old blankets,so i changed it to shavings,after two or three days dog was shiting

    Patience is your only answer,being shoved dosnt do anything,good breeding and letting it watch other dogs graft is my preffered solution,if you can get another dog working to ground tie the other near a hole so it can hear the other dog baying,dont let it go to ground with another,let it have a few rags of the dead stuff,but it will only graft when it wants to,you cant make a terrier go to ground if it dosnt want to.

    Well just to but in on this occasion"a good terrier is rare as rocking horse shit"what a load of bollocks,yes there is some shite terriers about in England,but there is also plenty good ones,as im sure it is exactly the same in Australia, you just got to know where to look for them.

    Like you say greg it is up to you if you want to weigh it in yourself,but the next time someone asks me to do a rubbish removal and i give them a proper price they moan or if the farmer or whoever wants a hand with the shearing should i say no problem ill do it for such and such a price,luckily there still is a few who work on the system you scratch my back,dont want to get into a slagging match but its funny how many people who see that youve got a pick up and they want a job doing for next to nothing.

    If you think you can claim benefits and do the scrap you are in a world of your own i wouldnt like to say how many times ive been stopped by the police with a member of the social asking questions about what you claim,i claim nothing i do the scrap our lass has three part time jobs.

    Topper do you use the old bellman collar or new one?When using the barryvox is it simple to use as im not that good with change?Got the bellman/pieps a while a go thought it was good but then if its deep digs im always digging in the side and it is doing my head in.

    Do the scrap myself,use to do alright at it,but everyone is a scrapman now,even some of the places i used to get it from regular are weighing it in themselves,it may sound daft but i hope the price comes down then a lot of the idiots who f**k it up for us will move onto something else.

    Good mate of mine who done a lot of digging years ago told me a story,he was in a terrier club meeting in the back end of the seventies quite a few of the lads there were moaning about all the terrier owners who didnt do much digging but were going to shows and winning with their dogs,the chairman just said are you that bothered about a rosette,they can will all they want,but the important thing is they go to the shows and the money it raises pays for the rescues of the real grafters.

    Im sure i read on here that you can use an ortovox collar with a bellman and flint box[pieps].Has anyone got any experience using them together as im sure someone said you get a better mark,every time i use the bellman collar at digs of around four feet and over the dog seems to always be in the side of the dig and obviously not the best place to be any info would be appreciated as although the season for me is now over unless i get any calls from keepers,if it is a better set up it would be great.

    During season out Sat/Sun and also try and have a short week so out on a friday aswell, when i can.Always walk them on a morning and a night if i havent had them out working,the rest of the year they get out morning and night for a walk,also i am over the allotment a bit so i take them all for a run about wiyh each other.

    Had a laky bitch who i dug quite a bit stuff with,however sometimes she would be wrapped around the game,then other times she would be four,five feet away baying away,the keeper i gave her too knew this and was happy to take her as all he wanted her for was ratting,however if no one had a use for her she would have been pts.

    My dog has to firstly mark to ground with a definate mark,enter,find,give the something to make it get pushed to a stop end and then stay with it until dug to,be that ten minutes or ten hours,not arsed about colours or breed.I can name a few different breeds of dog ive seen graft that id be very happy to have in my kennels,russell,lakey,pat and sealyham.
