    GREYHOUND BITCH.?

And Larkhill Hayley is litter sister to Larkhill Jo, very well bred as you say
  3. Most of what people call half crosses are not first crosses but 1/2 x to 1/2 x over several generations I think some people refer to them as 1st x " "x" generation " depending on how many crosses back to the real half bred

    GREYHOUND BITCH.?

I think CS has just about hit he nail on the head if that is her pedigree and line of form She would not be a racer or brood suitable for breeding greys IMO and might make a lurcher breeding bitch but you would probably get a better quality bitch for free for lurcher breeding when it had finished racing Have a look at this bitch Frank she is being offered for free and being younger and very lightly raced might have more to give and may make a stayer and if she doesn`t it hasn`t cost you anything Glanmore Spiral Some of her litter mates seem to be getting the stayers trip

    GREYHOUND BITCH.?

She will not have that long left in her mate that will be one of the problems she may also be a six month season bitch, best bet is luck her up on www.Greyhound-data.com or the igb.ie and see if she has run regular and what sort of grade she has been running , I made the mistake of buying a cheap greyhound bitch as my first I won`t make the mistake again she had about 15 races and stopped chasing and it had already taken ages to grade her on as she was always just outside grading time , look her up mate and see what you think , but there are plenty of cheap graders about at the minute kepp loo
  6. Very sorry to hear it RIP Sonny
  7. YOUR TRAPS LOOKS NICE AND LIGHT IS IT ANY GOOD OR TO LIGHT ? DID YOU MAKE IT ? Somebody picked it up from a gamefair for me the beauty of this particular one is the green mesh really blends in and unless you are looking for it you won`t see it which helps alot in the modern "help yourself countryside" the only thing I wish different is on this one it has one top entry and one side entry section and would definately have a two top opening sections next time, as I have never caught a magpie in the side opener always the top opener, but I have caught rooks/crows in the side ope
  8. Yes mate there are eggs in the bottom of the trap I don`t know if it has any affect but it doesn`t seem to put them off, Most keepers or anybody that runs a larsen will normally be happy to supply you with a call bird when they get one , the next one I catch is spoken for as a neighbour has asked fdor one to get his trap up and running :thumbs-up:
  9. Set the larsen this morning for the first time this year Less than an hour later we had a guest Unfortunately he left in a body bag  so will not be upseting the local small bird population anymore

    bobby joe

He looks like a good type of grader plenty of wins , but I would say that page does not show his total race stats as he was september 1996 whelp so would of started racing late 1997 early 1998 so it is hard to say how good he was in his prime but he must be a well put together dog to run for so long and not sustain any career ending injuries and to be able to run in a good grade without going backwards too much , the kind of dog every owner would like plenty of runs to pay the kennel bill and a good fun grader , I notice he did have a nice run of 4 wins on the bounce which is always nice lol

    tread mill's

Some greyhound trainers use treadmills and some have used them and not got on with them, some dogs will not walk on one for anything and a lot of it is to do with greyhound trainers being stuck in their ways and not wanting to try anything new it might be the work of the DEVIL you never know. my trainer uses this circular dog walker
  18. Yes mate is does work and a good course in to the bargain :thumbs-up:
  19. Greyhound bitches are free deerhound bitches are expensive, A litter of pure Deerhounds are going to be worth a lot more than a litter of bull x`s out of the same bitch
  20. A stunner mate looks like a nice racy shape hope she does the biz for you :thumbs-up:
  21. A few pictures of my old Hancock bred Beardie/border first cross sired by Zebedee Great temperament and a good genuine dog on the lamp I`ve seen better but I have also seen worse he was a big lad but was agile and would take rabbits well and had a few foxes although not what I would term a "fox dog" but maybe if I had shown more interest in running him at foxes he would of been a better dog about 14 weeks about 9 months about 2 & a 1/2
