  12. My youngster decided that feather was on the menu today for the first time, she has not shown any interst in feather since her early stock breaking days , but on the way back to the van today she spotted three mallard ducks in the silage clamp well I didn`t take any notice as like I say she had not taken any notice before but today well ..... Yes I know they are out of season  and if I see anymore in the future I will call her to heel but it was nice to see her catching something other than rabbits and next season mallard will definately be on the quarry list

    GREYHOUND BITCH.?

Spot on mate I have tried to explain to a number of people that modern coursing greyhounds are mainly bred for straight line pace and are generally to big for the twists and turns you would expect a lurcher to handle where as most track greys are smaller and more nimble ,but I think this has shown in the past where track bred greys have won open type coursing events where the twists and turns are needed and the coursing bred greys excel in the park coursing where a straight line speed is normally enough to win a course, JMO

  21. I don`t fast the dogs on a regular basis but if they are not mad keen for their dinner one day then I will skip next days meal and just give them a "RMB" instead it keeps them occupied but doesn`t fill them up and then the next day they are usually mad for the grub again, Interestingly the sapling I have at the minute fasts herself I have been trying to put a couple lbs on her now the season is coming to a close as I think she will carry a bit extra weight when she matures a bit , but If I add more carbs and a larger ration she will eat it fine for 6/7 days and then just pick at it f

    GREYHOUND BITCH.?

In this "Misc Ads" on Greyhound-Data there is a 19 month old bitch that won`t chase the lure, Free to GH , she on the Uk mainland but you could get her taken over the water for about £70 if you just want it for rough coursing should do you, but I would put an ad on one of the greyhound sites saying you are looking for a pup that is not chasing the lure to use as a hunting companion and you will probably be fitted up in no time with a young bitch rather than an old bitch that has had pups and is not up to much Hope this helps Chaz
