  1. had some of them plastic cages at one time , mine were quiko clean but found them a bit flimsy when removeing the cage fronts, that could be me been heavy handed though .
  2. don't sugar coat it block end, just tell him straight
  3. :thumbs:them seem a fair price mate for whats on offer, I have no experience with the greenies, are they prone to going light without the meds,i have had greenie mules in the past they seemed very hardy, easy to keep right, don't think you will have them long fireman atb.
  4. just read this post, don't think the whippets are there today lads, a lot are at the championships ,cheers
  5. could do with the 2 pair for free ,would you meet half way
  6. very nice clean set up,a credit to you ,there will be some fun had with that little lot, all the best with em
  7. that's nice samba, ,thats a tall grew, think mine was about 24,but not sure such things didn't interest us as kids :laugh:think dave will have bred the odd grew, hes always been around the greyhounds,as well as his lurchers atb.
  8. first cross mate, track grey, race whippet , every other house had them, I lived in a mineing village, whippets were raced sunday morning in local park, the greys at the tracks, one of my sisters had greyhounds on the track from 70s to present day so getting a grew was easy
  9. gamerooster I can say 100% a grew can catch and kill rabbit and hare, I ran one a good few year back and it could catch ,died in action running a hare in 79,had him from been a kid so I was sick to say the least :cray:
  10. some ex track dogs are prone to crashing in to every thing possible, be very aware of the fact it could get injured , more so than a dog raised from a pup in the hunting game,i know of 2 that have ended bad,one the first time out on rabbits ,but you know your dog ,I would defo only try daytime running see how that goes good luck.
  11. ladyboy your back, seen your mate last night he told me you got pigeon lung, so the dogs don't get out, don't call em sxxt it aint the dogs fault, are the birds ok,he said hes had to sort you out some decent stock birds from this end,
  12. fireman when we had the pigeons, they realy did bother them and me ,it was hard not to reach for the lads fn19 air gun,but as been said its nature ,how they feed , think its old age,at one time it would be personal,a war almost, but these days I am almost a anti :laugh:atb.
  13. tuffty they must have had a good season,i see em daily ,
  14. gnasher the reason mine is only one side and one end coverd is because the other end is solid ply its the shelter/roosting end ,the other side is wire but up tight along a shed window so the kids sit in the shed and view the birds, close to the glass,if you no what I mean :blink:its all a bit complex
  15. tuffty they have mate,i gave up with the fantails ect, they were only safe outdoors when we were outside, the Perspex is removeable and only covers top half of one side and one end, that is exposed,it also helps as a wind break,
  16. its back these are why I keep top half coverd in plastic, once had a canarie loose its feet from damage by a spar, also lost a good few fantails and racers to them, don't bother me these days ,but at times I did consider getting the airgun befor the phone :laugh:atb.
  17. looked out yesterday morning ,there she was sat on roof of flight, sparrow hawk, studying how to get at the yellow feasts inside, she was in fine condition so I grabs wifes phone, clicks away only to find it was on video, me and phones/pcs don't mix well, but I will get a pic up when I get assistance, the day befor a spar hit the side at speed ,but flew away ok, after it bounced off the Perspex.
  18. nice them pics, once ya got sorted , ,I have to let the kids/grandkids put pics up for me
  19. shame that the intence post of his were a good read, atb pete.
  20. do any of you lads have probs with bop strikes with the rollers, my son had rollers with no probs, but they took the fantails for fun,and the odd racer, which I found strange,he also had white dutch tumblers and never lost one bird, atb.
