    I use Opticron 10x42 HD... They were about £300 quid about 15 years ago.. A legacy of my late father. I cant complain about their quality, and have managed to cope with the hand shake issues just fine. But, the image is better f you can stabilise yourself with out doubt. Matt

    Its day 21 in the incubator...... I checked it late last night, gave more ventilation and moisture etc... Went in this morning expecting chirping etc.. And the bulb had blown..it was down to 18 degrees. I had a spare bulb so it getting back up to temperature now Big question................what are my chances????

    Your advice is based on your experience.... Everyone else's is based on their experience.. They will differ.. That's the beauty of an internet forum where advice is asked for...lots of different experiences.. The art of benefiting from it, is to monitor the trend of the answers given and take an average of the response. No need to criticise those prepared to offer help from their experience. I'm out now, I've made my point, no need to ruin the guys thread with an argument.

    The easiest way to avoid the help............is not ask the question. All that's been given is genuine help from genuine folk.. You dont like the advice???? Don't follow it..simple. Far better to come back and criticise those helping....

    Is it boredom or separation anxiety? I assume its other needs are taken care of. (food/water/temperature) I would probably try putting food hidden inside a hollowed out toy or bone. He should concentrate on getting the food out of the toy/bone rather than the anxiety. Strange....as he obviously kennelled with company.

    I use a collie x whippet x greyhound.. Have just finished my first full year with her. Not only is she catching bolters, retrieving live to hand, she is also working as a retriever at night whilst shooting from the land rover, just point the lamp in the direction of the kill, and bingo....jumps out the window, returns etc..no more fence climbing. Looking for another dog this year to support her...may go for summit with a bit more whippet..just for the hell of it. As for speed.........ask the boys at the Scottish Lurcher shows...... Bess.     Excellent result, well done. Ive got my first batch of twelve Marans in at the moment. It is a home-made incubator, so I hope it works. I have eight days left to find out. It could be embarrassing
