  1. you think I'm tight with spending money on a log splitter........ I just bought a car from 'Scottish lass' today She can tell you what i paid for it..!!
  2. There's your problem...........
  3. fair point.. The lawnflight one had a B and S engine on it on that link... and free delivery ...

  5. i have more than the necessary skill base........ but end up starting stuff, and not finishing it.. and \im so busy with work and pheasants etc...
  6. aye these look value for money..... engine was my only concern, as its unbranded..
  7. The splitters you have been using must be shite if a log can pop out. I have seen the odd mishap with the saw bench. But never a log popping out under load. All our gear is tractor mounted but I put up a similar thread a while back and had some good responses. I will have a look for it matty. cheers matey.. all good info so far..
  8. Dont disagree with ya, but dont have more than a grand kicking about.. I use a fair bit of firewood, but dont need a professional machine. There a re a few units kicking about.. 'Rock' 'Titan' etc 7-8 tonne units that would fit the bill... £800 quid mark...
  9. Could I have some owner reviews of Petrol powered log splitters please? I am talking about high end consumer units, not professional units. Under a grand and up to 12 tons pressure. I can fair swing an axe, so I dont need reviews on 4 tonne electric ones from Machinemart... Thanks I need decent, workable gear.. cheers!! Matty
  10. get a new mentor... Whilst I have shot multiple deer very quickly on occasions... I have never, ever, done it under pressure. Too much at risk... if it feels wrong, more often than not........ it is wrong.
  11. Handsome fellow that...... well done FD..
  12. I reckon you would soon be onto them if that was the case, but I still think he was talking a load of shit and was looking for idiots to hand over cash ! Very quickly..!! But its always good to get a heads up!!
  13. Where do you have a shoot in fife like??? I thought you knew where my shoot was?
  14. f**k me do you individually tag all the Pigeons on your permission !!! Close..... My birds over his ground!! and I don't mean pigeons!!
  15. I just wanted to know whether it was next to my shoot!! Very convenient to push someone else's birds over your own permission!!
  16. been there a few times......................
  17. Buckler Boots are good......... As are Hoggs of Fife Dealer boots I wear both to work, dependent on what i can get cheapest at replacement time
  18. 3-9 x 50mm with a 30mm tube. Duplex type Reticle. http://www.midwayusa.com/product/976858/leupold-european-30-rifle-scope-30mm-tube-3-9x-50mm-german-4-reticle-matte Optically a very good performer.. Its been on my .243 for a couple of years.. and seen a fair bit of action.. So don't expect a mint condition scope.. There are a couple of minor marks on the metal work, the turret caps show where the anodising has been worn off slightly, but nothing that affects performance. Optics are pretty much unmarked. There is no box with the scope. this is how it was purch
