As I said above, I load 35gr vmax with 13gr 'lil gun powder.... thumbnails at 100yards most of them are easy to load for.. Me and my mate use the same load in both our guns... makes it easy.

    fox out to 200 with a flattish flight path, using 35gr vmax home loads with 13 gr of 'lil gun. vermin out to the same, may be a bit further on rabbits, no sure I dont have a range finder, and it does drop off quite a bit after that, but still has plentof enrgy left.

    NO........527...Is the benchmark in my opinion.... Unless you get something older like a Anschutz or BRNO Fox. I have a 527 for fox and vermin, love it to bits, the bigger guns get left in the cabinet more oftn than not unless Im specifically stalking.
