He is an all rounder. I started him ratting and he has caught me rabbits. He hunted with a pointer when young and will hunt pheasant has an amazing nose. I never sent him to ground was too young(11 when i got him) plus i had no one to show me the digging ropes. If i got pups I would keep two on and look into putting them to ground. I think my dog may have been wausted because i was so young I am sure he would of been good at foxing. Thanks for your reply much appreciated if you want a pup and reckon he has served you well then find a good proven bitch and get pups pal

sound jasper was just wondering as i have 0 knowledge of BOP but i reckon they could cause serious damage if they wanted to . On another note did anyone of yee read the article a few year ago about the golden eagle that a chap used for killing foxes .The terriers would flush the foxes for the bird .It was an amazing article but he did kill some terriers aswell

the first one of them cou get a hold of lock on to him for dear life .Bite the first part of their body you get in your mouth .The more his mates hit you the worse pain the chap will be in .Either that or a bang of an iron bar even a small one that you can carry up your sleeve straight between the eyes and stamp gard on their face wheb they hit hit the deck ,do the river dance on their faces

a grown red is massive i cd love to see a dog try hold one on its own ,cant see it happenin myself ,it would have to be a BIG dog and a red is fast so the dog needs speed and size and any dog that done reds pre ban would have a lost a lot of teeth in a short time tryin to hold a red thats why scent in my opinion you generally need 4 good big fast dogs that also are very strong. a big red can stand 4 foot tall and weigh over 400 hundred pounds so even 4 pound bull crosses are out matched iv tried it (by accident) and saw whay my dog is cappable but id prefer foxes myself i could do it e

iv only taken one deer ,dog was off yhe leash and a fallow happen to pop up he had done everything expected of him til then but because its illegal here i took him off and let the deer run free but i was happy with his performance ,the deer ran away away no a bother on him
