    no daveyboy....thats an old wives tale...infact it just means they can carry hereditary defects/diseases from 2 breeds instead of one!!!

    They advertise using a BASC LOGO. Now if they are trade members they need reporting....and...if they are not trade members they need reporting for using the logo!!! I know I pay good money to be a basc trade member and i would be furious to think someone else is trading using the logo that I pay for, if they dont! May be woth an email to basc???

    FFS Farlap your not asking much? they are sprockers not cockers or springers theyre a cross ,,not many breeders of field bred cockers or springers are hip scored of working lines in the uk,we are just about to optigen test are ESS and cockers as we are going through KC accredited breeder scheme .Weve just sent a pup to the states and the pup once grown will be hip scored and eye tested at the owners expense .. In sport steve i fail to see why them being mongrels means its acceptable to allow them to develop pra or hd???? Surely its just as important in a mongrel as it is in a

    different vets hacve different opinions....im lucky to have an opthalmic specialist vet and hes done 5 for me over the years.....the 2 that were pokjed back in and tacked popped out again so were removed. I have never had any probs with them removed and they have been 100% successful.

    cant see them on there patience boys....patience.......I didnt get home from 2 days at the show until 11pm last night and then I had a lot of catching up to do with orders....a sick hawk to take to the vets and then all the editing on over 300 pix.....they should be there now if you take another look was that really robert plant???? I saw "him" several times and first thought it was but then saw his missus wearing v. cheap wellies so decided it must just be a pretender!

    no dont wet the dog or wash the dog...all you get is shiny hair you cant grip....i am presuming his coat is ready to come out now?? you should only strip a dead coat on a border....buy a chalk block from your local farm sote and rub into coat before doing it....i would suggest asking a good local breeder with breed experince (not some pet dog breeder but someone who shows their terriers as they will know exactly how to do it )....failing that pop into devon & ill do it for you!

    Has anyone here got a Regent (made in Spain despite name) shotgun or can they tell me anything about their quality etc?

    they should be showing a red lamp on the left and a green on the right......watch out with that torch as someone got prosecuted a few weeks back for blinding a pilot with a lamp from the ground at night!!!

    i think maybe its all been a bit too much too quick....9 months is really still a baby. I think you need to go back to absolute basices....reinforcing the stay and if needs be preventing running in to shot, with a helper and a long line until shes more steady. Basically its re teach all the basic commands like sit, stay etc and when she retreives to you dont jusst remove the game.......let her have it a few moments and then maye give her something as a swap so she has incentive to bring it back. HTH.

    farlap replied to Fell boy's topic in General Talk

    when mine get it i wash it in hibiscrub solution and allow to dry and avoid any potions or creams and if its washed daily with this it always seems to clear.
