  3. Black n tan...I am not sticking up for them.....I am simply saying that the case has been publicised, because some were saying that it had been kept quiet. Its been on the national radio news. I have no idea if its been on tv news as I dont watch tv at the moment.Of course im not sticking up for anyone who mistreats a dog, and I would have been the 1st to report them if i had seen them, Im sure there is no reason for you to be so agreesive and abusive in your posts aimed at me. we are all on the same side here!
  4. They are great dogs. I see theres a litter of tree walkers born here in the UK recently.....they cant sell them...no one wants them!! shame as my friends in usa have them and they are cracking hounds

  7. SPECIALIZED DOG PAPERS ARE NOT THE PUBLIC DOMAIN , THE TABLOIDS LIKE THE MIRROR SUN AND STAR HAVE ANTIS, ON THERE STAFF THE RECENT BASC MAG WAS QUICK ENOUGH TO PRINT A PHOTO OF WHAT THEY THOUGHT A DEER POACHER LOOKS LIKE , A MAN WITH A FERRET BOX NETS AND A SMALL LURCHER, MY POINT BEING , CRUELTY TO DOGS CAN BE PERPETRATED BY PEOPLE THAT JOE PUBLIC THINK ARE ABOVE SUCH CRIME AND THE RSPCA AND LACS JUMP ON EVERY CASE AGAINST ARE COMMUNITY IT NOT TIME WE DONE LIKE WISE they are for sale in wh smiths...you cant get much more public domain than that! its also been on the radio four news sev
  8. It has been well publicised and condemmed in the "dog press" The dog press...........i wonder why it wasn't in the Sun like the owner of the dogs was or on Panorama. But thats a different story. dont ask me mate...I dont read the sun. I am only making the point that it is in the public domain and has been ever since the case was 1st brought to my notice some weeks ago, although i believe the actual conviction was only this week.
  9. on same vein...can someone tell me if the chap whose website we seem to be looking at, is the same chap as "colonel" david hancock who writes articles? Only he looks a bit different to the photo i have seen of him.

  14. several years ago we were out with a lamp and our deerhound (yes its true!) and she chased a roe buck round a field.....suddenly the ro buck stopped dead, turned to face her, stamped his foot and took after her....well youve never seen a dog run so fast in your life....he chased her twice round a fair sized fields then they disappeared over a rise...we ran to catch them up only to find the two of them lying side by side panting exhausted. we couldnt stop laughing and toop pity on the buck, and off he went on his way after a 5 minute lie down ever since then shes been terrified of deer at nig

    worms

i use drontal for pups and adults....but it doesnt dissolve adult round worms.....just expels them. Dont waste money on shelf bought wormers.
  17. i thought that the law said you could only shoot without a sgl, if the person accompanying you, and who holds the sgl, also owned the land you were shooting on? You need to be in the "Company" of the SGC Holder if you want to borrow the gun, but can borrow one on any land they have permission. In the "Company" basically means in earshot of them. SS really? well I copied this from our local forces website. 11. Can I try shooting without holding a certificate? Yes, under certain circumstances. Many approved shotgun clubs and Registered Firearms Dealers hold open days,
  18. i would have thought there was plenty of half decent pups around from known quantity breeding without taking on what is basically a mongrel? Id be asking what the hipscore was of the rottie parent?? doubt they are responsible owners who care about such things. in a running dog its a disaster waiting to happen in my eyes
  19. From experience they appear to see the red light and foxes but don't seem to associate danger like they do full beam, use it to scan the fields for rabbits, then use full beam, with foxes, call them in using filter then when ready to run the dog put full beam on for the dog to sight it better. My old bitch never bothered when lamping rabbits but when the filter was on, you could feel her whole body quiver with excitement expecting foxes. i echo wild rover....they see it but not to the same extent and dont seem to associate it with danger in the same way they would a white beam.

  21. Many many moons ago I was keen on this and did a few basic things...e.g. a rabbit and a mask. Well now we have a genuine roadkill XXXXX that we want stuffed but although we are willing to pay for it to be done, its proving hard as the replies we get are either "no, cant touch it" or no reply atall (how rude ) Anyway on ebay i see there is a guy doing taxidermy supplies and he has a complete body form for our XXXXX and we are tempted to have a go ourselves. however when I did some in the past I made it all up myself using wire and wood wool to make tohe body, and what i want to know is, if yo
