    The government plan is completely unworkable, and they know that. But that doesn't matter to them, they're not arsed about actually stopping the boats or lorries, they just want to be seen to look like they're doing something as a stick they can beat Labour with & say "well what are you going to do"? (BTW whilst I'm left leaning I'm certainly no labour supporter).

    I'm genuinely surprised at the amount of fellas on here saying you should keep shtum & just go along with company policy on everything, like good little sheep, just because your contracted to them...!! The same folks who are always moaning about the state this country's in & how we all need to man up!! Talk about a contradiction

    I think, so far, its being classed as breach of bbc guidelines rather than something actually written in contract law. And I guess if you feel passionately enough about something then sometimes you have to think f**k the contract, not allow yourself to be dictated too & say what you think despite the consequences. It's more about free speech & the BBC cherry picking who can & can't get away with personal opinions (Chris packham anyone??) The tories don't like what Lineker said, so they pressure the BBC into cancelling him, that's what's concerning. It's hardly like hes Trevor

    It's easy to try close an argument when you disagree with someone by saying they are "virtue signalling". When someone shows some humanity, just call them woke, then you can look really clever (and smug). ????

    But he didn't voice his own personal opinion on the BBC did he? He didn't use his prime time slot to get maximum coverage. He posted a tweet, something anyone can do to. If you feel strongly about something so wrong, then why should he keep quiet just because his employer says so?? Its about standing up for what you believe in, not just dipping your head & towing company line. Good on him for having the balls.

    If it works it works mate. Too many (and I've been guilty of it) want the newest shiniest must have kit. But when your our on your own, in the dark, who cares about cost or model number, so long as it gives you confidence when you squeeze.

    In that scenario I'd go pard nv007 mate. Hakf decent glass is gonna be better than the 008 day image (not that much wrong with it) and then nip 007 on "occasionally" at night

    Managed to steal 40 minutes of spare time tonight before being called back to reality. Nice to know the ballistic calculator works though, 2nd one was 78yds scope worked out holdover spot on.

    I've had synthetic t bolt & cz 457. Moved them both on, but 457 was better hands down, especially the trigger, light years away from the t bolts.
