  1. Your a darling!! Now get back to your carrot cocktails Wouldn't want you to fall down any pot holes!!
  2. I did mate thanks. I guess you upgraded your speak and spell then! All sorted now, the bloody thing had been butchered by Sweeney Todd but running sweet as. The thing I have to ask though is, amongst the info you sent there was quiet a lot of indecent Vietnamese porn links! Did you mean to send that? Wink wink
  3. Well Maris pipers it is then! Gently roasted in garlic and a medium olive oil! Sainsburys have a special on organic carrots! Fill your boots luvvy
  4. As usual a feckin stupid answer , the usual standard of drivel that people dont really want to hear . Im asking about NV spotters so can shoot through the night , not lying in a field in the dark !! The people who have been shooting for 3 days might think of you as the font of knowledge , where as i see straight through you . Dont answer my posts again , as i tend to make a point of not answering yours . LMFAO What a bitch you are!! Let me just add before you go off on a tangent. I have nothing to add about your NV issues. However, if you wish me to recommend
  5. Are you sure the power to the motor is not transformed down to around 12-24 v? At low voltage you can control the speed of a motor. As far as I'm aware, a motor that is 110v plus needs an inverter to control the speed and those ain't cheap!! Without an inverter and if your motor is 230v you would need to gear it down to achieve your reduction in speed
  6. Lol, no worries, the kids have contracted and developed some sickness bug and the little darlings have passed it to me! So at the moment I feel like I have bloody mixy.
  7. Sheep are the worst!! They love a good mole marker for a scratch. I have also encountered rabbits removing loosely placed markers as they take the bark off the sticks I use.
  8. Tegater. Each to his own mate and I'm not knocking the concept. If it works for you then fair play but in my eyes it's an unesecerry outlay for something I see that over complicates the job. Yes if your running thousands of traps but even then I would want scaled mapping. Trappa how many traps do you loose each year? And of those that are lost how many are down to theft, wildlife and forgetfulness? An outlay of £100 for a gps unit could potentially buy you another 30 some barrel traps Borrow your young uns Nintendo ds and get some brain training done!! Atb
  9. Trappa. This is something I looked into but the cons outweighed the pros. Unless you get a gps at a good price you will be looking above the hundred nicker mark for something half right then the cost of your map and the price will depend on the scale but again there a few hundred quid. Top all that off with cold wet muddy hands, in and out of your pocket every two minuets and just when it's going to let you down it does and it pulls a Tom Tom and can't acquire the satellite or the battery goes flat!! That's my opinion but it could have the odd benefit. More of a big boy toy! It would be
  10. If you search through John b's old posts you will find loads of ideas for triggers, some may not be for fox traps specifically but I'm sure some could be adapted to suit your needs
  11. Nice one, a big thumbs up and keep him at it, my kids love a trap emptying session, unless it's cold and wet!!
  12. Out of the few rats we have shot/trapped each year on dairy, poultry and pig farms where food is in abundant supply, an average good sized adult rat is about the 18" mark, nose to tail. The biggest I have come across was 20" I have shot a few possible candidates that could have been bigger IF their tails had have been complete, but all often than not the tail ends are missing.
  13. As a rule, ALL beaver tastes good, and I speak from personal experience as a muff diver of many years. I beg to differ my man!! There are some bush pigs on my estate who's beavers I wouldn't touch with a garden fork let alone your tounge!! Feck me big Tracey from no 12!! Well I say no more!
  14. More likely that it's the ampere of the battery as opposed to the watt of your bulb. Yes lowering the watt will increase your battery life but by increasing the ah of your battery will give you more life. Chances are the battery you have in the torch is about 2-4 ah. You won't be able to put a larger ah battery in the torch due to the size increase unless it's a lion battery, in which case you would be looking around the hundred nicker mark. It would probably be a better option to just buy a separate dedicated lamp and battery not a DIY special. An option could be to buy a better battery
  15. Fair play Matt, but I must add I'm not moaning, I have the relevant qualifications!!!!! For the work I undertake including a fork truck licence! But What gets my goat is for example is if somebody didn't have thier RSPH they wouldn't be able to work in pest control within the food industry, but They could happily wipe out thousands of rodents working within agriculture without it, most folk don't give two hoots what accreditation you have or who you belong to provided you can do your job. Cowboys aside. "money for old rope?" Or passing the book for insurance purposes or just creati
  16. DKG wasn't a dig pal, just highlighting a point you raised and getting on my high horse after a low alcohol shandy!! Atb
  17. DKG. Couldn't be bothered to sift through the multi quotes to highlight the one I wanted but you said "qualified". Who the feck is qualified in mole catching or rabbit control or even fork lift truck driving for that matter!! How can you stamp a qualification on it? As in my eyes it all begins with any mans trial and error and experience, for anybody to state they are qualified, generally means somebody has tested them and observed their working methods, conduct and practice. As already made clear it's down to ability? The point I'm getting at is who qualified the first man in orde
  18. I will take it, empty your in box and pm me, cheers
  19. will a french rat do lol is that a fox trap in the back ground....well camoed lol Eyes like a shit house rat!!!
  20. will a french rat do lol Sorry fish but no!! Nice catch though! Didn't know you had beavers in france! Or is it a young wallaby?!
  21. That it does, but if the trap was 8" and you estimate the jaw size, that rat has a good sized napper, we could argue the toss all night but "I'm a believer!!" Would still like to see other pics or a confirmed measurement, atb
  22. Well the fella holding it must have short legs!! Looks big enough to me. Are you used to dealing with real monsters?
  23. Well you have to let them be for the dog lads
  24. Or will it just be heavy breathing again??!! All the best
  25. Well I'm sorry sir!!!! Didn't realise you took rejection so bad. Maybe next time sweet cheeks! Top shooting though boss
