  1. Any oil will do, the thicker the oil the stickier it will be and will last that little longer, use something like WD and it wont last as long depending on the use of the blade

  3. don't know - not tried it yet. It's still in the cupboard for comedy value. Lol. Good answer, could have had some raised eyebrows if you had have said cock!!
  4. Lol. What does it taste of duncs!??
  5. Over the last couple of days I have been finding ferret crap near to my ferret court. As it happens I have the odd duck which every now and again escape the confines of their run and decide to go free range, so the odd turds I have been finding I just passed off as the ducks. What a stupid oversight that was on my behalf! I let the little dog out last night for a little light relief as per usual. On this occasion she was longer than usual and a little reluctant to be brought back in? Now this little dog is mustard on the rats and can cope with the odd rabbit but has always been steady
  6. Happen try again fella

  9. Fair play bb but no malice was intended with my comment and apologies if it came across like that to you. In no way at all am I commenting to spoil your thread. I'm always open to criticism. Like you say it takes your own experiences to come up with an idea to make things easier whilst out in field. Atb mick
  10. Best of luck with your boxes. I like the idea of your trek pack and it does look smart but as already said a little on the large side. You have either got a shed load of cheap wood and fixings or a planning to shift a lot. There is not a lot of money left in it for you at twenty two nicker a box. Atb
  11. And there you have it! Simples. No need to make it any more complicated
  12. Lol giving them away!! But your right by the time you have totted up the ply, glue, Finnish, furniture, strap there's not a lot left in it!! Don't be bitter Liam a single wouldn't be any good for you! A single box is ok for a quick mooch and that's about it, you can get your ferret, a good handful of nets and a locator all into a double box, and if you end up taking more ferrets you don't need another box with a double, much more versatile.
  13. Miss strike or trap fling? Or debris in the hole impeding the trap jaws? Found awkward miss- catches on rats with the mk4's
  14. I'm with Micky. The fella knows his onions. Have to agree it does look a goner
  15. PVA and well pinned with brads, cheap as chips per litre and bonds as well as the rest mentioned when dry.
  16. Cheers Socks. I make them to anybody's preferences. Either holes in the lid or in the side. Thanks.
  17. After plenty of requests by members and a lot of deliberation and playing with various styles i have come up with a single box. For months i have tried to design and make a small carry box that is just right for a quick mooch but also cost efective to make. I have made singles in the past which i have found to be a bit clumbersome and not well balnced whilst carrying up and down dale.I have also tried to recreate the old style kidney box, which takes far too much work in bending, glueing and forming thin flexi-ply. So the simplist of solutions was to shrink my double box by around two thirds
  18. Nice 1 Elliot Terryd you have absolutely murdered that pie with those peas!! Devils food!
