I had a lurcher bitch before who while trotting past you would give you a tiny nip on the hand.she would do it numerous times on a day out.i just put it down to the dog being happy enjoying the day's events.

It's 5 months old Jeemes and teething.and you want have zero tolerance and pts.Don't get me wrong I would put an older dog down if I thought it was kid. people.aggressive but at 5 months old ? Obviously I can't see the way the dog is behaving because I'm not there.but if there's was a good hint of aggression being shown by the dog I would come down really hard and put the dog In its place. The pup could be trying to climb the pack order trying to be alpha but it's got to be shown its place in the pack. All the best s.lurcher which ever route you decide to go down. Cheers King.

My 8 month old dog here Rex started doing it at about 12weeks giving a little nip here and there to my young lad. And the 13 week old pup here is in the same stage now nipping a few of us in the house. The dog is play fighting with you my dogs all play fight together. They don't know right from wrong and they learn everyday.a tap on the nose and a firm no is all it takes I've found.rex is way past that stage now. I've had staff pups in the past about 12yrs ago and they love giving a nip to a hand foot clothing etc. They know no different until YOU the owner disciplines them. But if the t

The thing is those breeds are very different,you just can't know what way it'll throw surely? I've seen one try to do it's owner in for throwing a tennis ball,it had the best upbringing any dog could have,as well as few other unstable mutts. There are breeds of dog that are finely honed and have been bred for 100's of years to protect people. I agree with you neems.he said he ran the whole litter on picked 1 and culled the rest and he didn't want any of them going to anyone.
