It's like talking to a fecking brick wall with some folk on here.fecking clueless.feed what you want and when you want. I will do the same. Beaters have noticed there spaniels slowing down due to lack of energy half way through a days work.and feed them some mars bar etc.do you think they take them dogs out on an empty stomach ?

It's very simple katchum.every animal/human needs energy for a hard work out. I was using cyclists as an example mate.

Would you run a marathon without having food for 12hrs I don't think so.The pro cyclists are eating energy bars high energy food during a race.if they fasted for 12hrs before the race they would be running on an empty tank. Each to there own....

Put down a generous amount in his bowl give him 5 mins and what don't eat reduce the next meal by that amount. How old is the pup what size is he.rough weight. If you feed him to little and he's licking the bowl for a minute.up his next meal till you find the balance mate. Watch him eating his meal is he gulping it down till the end of his meal or becoming picky coming to the end of his meal. You will soon work him out. All the best King.

to right mate he did do a wide ark coming back to me.he must of been milking the moment a bit lol.but didn't want to give it up straight away a few off commands then he released his prize.

Yea really happy with him gaz.ive been teaching him to go down steep wooded hills.sending him ahead into light cover with hand signals as not to spook anything hoping something will bolt for him but nothing yet.but after he had 4 runs today along some narrow bramble and gorse lined tracks I thought he might be ready for a look on the lamp.and he just clicked straight away.like you say onwards and upwards.

Ive got an 8 month old bull x here rex he's only ever seen about 6 rabbits ever and they were in the distance.he chased 4 today into cover but could only get within about 20yds before they hit thick brambles and disappeared.so I thought right he's seen a few seems keen.so took him up the field tonight were there are a few.give him a 30yd slip and after 2 turns picked it up done a little prance about showing off and retrieved live to hand unharmed.i would of liked a squatter for his first but the rabbits are very lamp shy.really pleased with him.

there will be jackers in every line out there I'm sure of that.the dogs are animals not machines I'm sure some people can't get there head around that.

Put a tennis ball in a sock with a knot in it play tug games with him. Start him on the side of the house alleyway etc.only throwing few feet.get on your knees so you are at his level and he ain't looking at your legs.praise praise and more.he will soon click on.sit on the kitchen floor with him and throw the sock.the dog will soon retrieve to you unless it's demented which I doubt.

I've fed frozen rabbits with coat on in summer.like you say bird they are like a bone.dog has a good time chewing away at it. I had a staff bitch who would eat heads like they were Pringles.3 or 4 crunches and down.she was a greedy bitch though.. Why do you cut the ears off bird.

As above do any of you feed rabbit with fur on and do you feed rabbit heads to your dogs.
