  1. Will there ever be another like him?, not a chance and hope he knew how much he was respected.Gutting to read the news and wish i had met the man as spoke to him a lot over the years about the cattle dog x's in pm's.. May your spirit be at peace Phil and RIP to a real legend...
  2. You bunch can't even talk about hunting muntjac properly so feck knows why your talking terriers, divy cnuts with all this stupid talk on a open forum and we wonder why things are getting banned...
  3. For a mistake mating , that'll bloody do eh Tony cracking pup that ..
  4. Please Gunter and with all due respect, but we don't need his bullshit in this section of the forum mate....
  5. I and every terrier man iv'e ever met would gladly lift their terrier before they reached that point and they'd feel no shame in doing so, it's a different game testing a dogs gameness to having gameness or total commitment to it's work reguardless of out come.. I have owned a pit and she was a total sweet heart to have around both my other dogs and my kids, but they ain't for me,one of my best friends, she used to breed pits and had a pit in her family home for it's whole life,no it never even looked funny at any of the kids but it did kill a couple of other dogs during it's lifetime.. I l
  6. Iv'e kept and worked terriers of years now ,but not once did i ever enter a terrier into a earth to go fight with it's quarry and i always did my best in not owning a hard dog or if i had one to use it wisely in the right place to avoid to much of a clash of jaws. I have respect for the pit and what it does .but why the feck would anyone want that around there working dogs and to be honest a pit goes against a weighed opponent in a very controlled arena where as a terrier wages his work on the quarry's home turf,in the dark and sometimes against things much bigger and harder then itself and p

    Rats/hens

I was threshing one day when one of the old boys who was pitch forking with me suddenly held onto a rat on his inner thigh that had run up his trousers,i had to grab hold of thee rat and hold it as he took off his trousers and then chuck his trousers to my terriers who dealt with the rat as it run out of them. The fella was screaming the whole time not to let it bite his dick and we were all howling so much we nearly couldn't help him..
  11. Like i say it's just the same old boring shit on every thread, time on here if the same question was asked there'd have been a few lads and lasses answering with decent replies due to those folks walking the walk.No high ground sort mate ,just wish it could be the good forum it was rather than the playground of a few it's becoming ,so i said what i feel. I'm 59 years old and have lived a life with plenty of stories and hopefully more to come ,so i'm cool with myself and don't need to make anything up on the net to make me someone or something. You boys sound a good bunch and have some sport ,ju
  12. Honest to god Gunter bud i'd just keep walking past him,, don't want to know him, meet him or have anything to do with the fella..
  13. Listen bud your a toxic little fecker and your type have turned this site into the childish playground it's turning into, you have to get in with the same old bullshit on every topic and we wonder why folk don't post much any more. You don't rattle me or can you get me rattled as like i say your toxic and this is a level headed reply, iv'e taken hundreds of muntjac along with hundreds of CWD and have learnt a thing or two so i gave the topic poster my opinion based on facts. But if you ever want to come right out to sea on my boat then your welcome anytime mctoxic ,but bring your own life jacke
  14. I got up to your post and couldn't be arsed to go any further with this load of old bollocks,so lets change direction on this Muntjac thread again and yes mate we are going Sea Bass fishing ,just got to get the boat in as it ain't starting and once sorted then any time your ready and seeing a man this weekend who sorts it out for me..Few being caught now as well..
  15. To be truely honest with you and we both know we've never spoken to each other before ,but your offer is wasted on a man like that and it's a fecking insult to folk like yourselves who offer such a trip and the man who's been offered treats the offer like it's beneath him. You should keep your offer bud and maybe someone worth it will have the day with you and i wish you boys all the very best...
  16. I don't have a running dog but i so wish i had my old bullx bitch as she would have so truely shut you the fcuk up pal,now go back to your stupidity as you ain't letting yourself down...
  17. Now that little belter has got to be up there with the best of the THL comments eh ,,fecking blinder.....
  18. I wonder if your'll take gunter up on his offer.....
  19. Just what i was saying about hunting small deer full time, you need a dog built for it and imo a saluki x ain't built for it..
  20. Your the biggest talker of it mcknowitall, but the real reason i know about running the smaller deer is because iv'e walked the walk for a few years hunting pretty much small deer only and a muntie buck who's game will give a dog more stick than a roe buck would when caught up with .A saluki type dog might hit cover hard but it's not built for it and it'll break at some point, that's a fact and no matter how much fairy dust you try to chuck we all know how a dogs build affects it's quarry choice...
  21. We know you fecking know everything but like i say i've taken hundreds of them with lurchers over the years and to so as a main prey item as such you need a dog with some build to it,them feckers hit dence cover without slowing and you need a dog built to be able to do so to and a coursing bred dog ain't built like that..There'll take them in the open yes i know but most muntie hunting isn't done far away from cover and a tight or thin skinned dog will get itself a few scars along the way..
  22. Iv'e caught hundreds of the things over the years and the best dog i saw was mine on them, she was built like a brick shithouse but only 23/4 inches tall and had a dose of bull in her.She loved teeth as well and she loved the ruck a muntie can give back at times and iv'e seen the next best small deer dog )chinks, munties, roe) killed by a muntie putting it's antler through the dogs neck and out it's ear, that dog was coursing bred saluki type..I'd go for a heavier bodied dog than a saluki x and one with some bottle in the line as there tough little buggers and iv'e stitched up a lurcher more than
  23. Here's another one for you, imagine some old arab woman out in the desert then this angel came down from above and told her this imaginary god has knocked you up although your married but still a virgin and your going to have a baby who'll change the world.......Yes i know it's mental bit millions believe this bollocks and it's caused more harm and death than all the world wars put together,,,,The day the last civilized human being dies on this planet the better off Earth will be...
  24. The old AEC Routemaster (the old London double decker busses) were all meant to have easly done over a million miles and the only reason they got rid of them was due to the modern emission laws.Bet the non smokey replacements don't last any where near that..
